Baldurs Gate 2 - No CD patch

hello,

i couldnt find a crack for the latest patch 26498
and i wanted to know how to crack the exe...
so i found CDKILLERS post from 2002:

crack it on your own, it´s simple

- load the exe into win32dasm
- search for the GetLogiclaDriveString API
- trace the two calls to this API
- replace each call (E8 xxxx xxx) with mov al,1 (B001 909090)
- runs fine without cd-rom

works for all icewind dale and baldurs gate versions



But unfortunately i get only some funny symbols when i open the baldur.exe with win32dasm demo version 8.7 ...can someone help me?
I dont find the GetLogiclaDriveString API. Like i said i only see weird symbols and no letters at all.

Which of these do you mean: http://dlh.net/cgi-bin/dp.cgi?lang=eng&sys=pc&ref=ps&count=all&sort=name&search=Baldur's+Gate+II:+Throne+of+Bhaal+v2649 ? Or can you compress the EXE itself with ZIP/RAR and send it to me as an E-mail attachment? Have you tried Hacker's View instead?

i havent tried the hackers view...what is that? Is it like win32dasw? I'll check it out.
