Star Wars EAW startup crash

[VMI Spartan]

I just bought Star Wars EAW gold pack, and every time i try to run it, it crashes w/ an exception. The dialogue box pops up and tells me to check error.log, which i dont know how to acess.

Operating System: Vista 64-bit
Memory: 4 GB
Graphics: 8600M GS nvidia

If anyone has any solutions i'd really appreciate it.

Read the PC Games forum FAQ. The game manual, too - e.g. is it compatible with 64-bit OS'es?

Does the command "where" exist on Vista?

"find", perhaps? [...] Nope, it can only search for strings in files but not simply files. Ehhh, download GnuWin32 (http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net), learn Unix shell scripting and forget built-in DOS/Windows commands, this sorry excuse for a script language. :(

i meant "where"

*WHERE Displays the location of files that match a search pattern.

This seems to be different to "find".

However, you're right, GNU-Tools are much better...

the original game should work great but if its the expansion forces of corruption theres a way to fix it. the game wont run with a rig over 3gb of ram and you have 4gb of ram which is the same damn issue i encountered however the empire at war game with the 1.5 patch works great the expansion pack doesn't

send me a PM and i'll give you the fix its quite large so i cant put it in here.

it might work for the original empire at war but i doubt it
