View Full Version : Technomage - Return Of Eternity
Hello.
I would like to know if any of you could please provide me a No-CD fixed executable for Technomage Multilingual. I checked the readme, and it says it's v1.04, but I can only find fixes for the German 1.02 version.
Thank you very much.

What copy protection does it use? (Scan it with Protection ID.) [...] SecuROM 4.26 is detected on the cracked executables.

Protection ID v0.6.2.3 reports that Technomage.EXE is using SecuROM 4.42.00.
I hope that information helps. Thank you very much.
You could always just install it and use patch 1.02.
Im assuming you installed from the original and then updated to 1.04?

Nope, I only installed it. No need to upgrade, though I tried looking (because I always like to have my games up-to-date), but the only patch I found to upgrade to the latest version was for the Dutch, I think; I really had to look in several sites. When I used the TM_Diagnostic.exe, it would show: "Version: 1.04 ENG". That's why I stopped looking for an upgrade, and started looking for the No-CD fix. When I bought it, it was a bargain, but it was like new. :)
I guess I could try using the fixed executable v1.02, but I don't know which fixes does v1.04 include over v1.02, and that's what makes me think twice before trying, specially coming from a game that warns me that it isn't compatible with Windows 2000 (I'm using Windows XP SP3) just right before installing it.
Anyways, thanks!
The game comes with 1.04 already installed? Thats weird.

Why? Republished Golden Edition or something...
Could be.
Which would mean if its remastered the executable could be different alltogether for the new publisher. Which means the old 1.04 crack if there is one could possibly not work this time around.
But there is that chance I suppose.

I haven't found one so far, only for version 1.02 (and German).
The CD cover doesn't say anything like "Gold" or similar... maybe the box did. I'll ask the person who originally owned it; maybe she remembers something.
Thanks.

Negative. The fist owner doesn't recall any kind of mark indicating a "special" edition.
Guess I'll have to live with it...
Thank you all!
PS: I really wish someone would show up with the same version as I do. I haven't found ANYTHING on Internet about it. :(

Search for a tool called "UnSecuromNT". This is an old Securom version, it might be able to make an unprotected exe for you.

It crashes whenever I try to dump/rebuild the file. :(
I'm about to try Game Jackal...
have you considered making a mini-image with alcohol 120%?
Just do the first few tracks at 1x speed and cancel the image making process without deleting the files. That should keep the protection intact and then just mount the image via daemon tools. If all goes well it will pop up a file list also (which you cant run anything of)

Sure, that's a nice idea. I just wanted to play without the physical CD.
Thank you all!
