OPTIONAL EDITS
Edit the file "autorun.inf for "CODWAW_2" (disk 2) as follows:

[autorun]
open=0
icon=Setup\rsrc\CoDWaW.ico

NOTES
The folders moved from disk 1 (CODWAW) to disk 2 (CODWAW_2) include all videos and English Data Files

There are some common files between disk 1 and disk 2, but the size is well within the limits of DVD 5. I am not sure which files were required, but if i left out some files from root i got issues at the end of the installation.

You can put a No-CD/DVD fix on Disk 2 if you wish.

Problem is with DiskPrompt and VolumeLabel in msi and with VolumeLabel used burn / creating discs step

@alitayyab

You put 1 and 2 as VolumeLabel in msi but you tell to use CODWAW and CODWAW_2 when making images?

Here is quote what i wrote in Quantum of Solace conversion

NOTES:

DiskPrompt and VolumeLabel in msi must be same to prevent 'not regocnizing DVD2'
DiskPrompt and VolumeLabel for DVD2 must be QOS_DVD for this to work (install finish correctly instead asking installation disk at end)

So i suggest to use/try DiskPrompt and VolumeLabel CODWAW1 (or CODWAW_1) for DVD1 and CODWAW for DVD2

This game is using same installer and engine as Call of Duty 4 and Quantum of Solace and so that should fix any problems with conversion with install sequence 1-2

yeah. my bad.
u need to put this:
"CODWAW_2"

in place of:
"Call of Duty - World at War #2"

I'll post a new pic.
apologies

this is the way the correct version looks. i had no problems keeping disk 1's id the same. as the installer doesnt need disk 1 later on

alitayyab conversion works with labels what he said, atleast on Vista 32bit, no problems at end, uninstall works etc. So my suggested label CODWAW for DVD2 isn't necessary, its not as buggy installer as Quantum of Solace has.

which program i use to burn the folders?...
i can burn as data dvd or i need image dvds..?

You don't need to post same thing on every conversion topics, there is own section for these kind of questions

CD/DVD Software & Utilities (http://fileforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11)

i use imgburn (in my opinion best program and i always use this, never had any problems)

Making image or burning from folder using imgburn

i use GAME_NAME as example folder

Start imgburn and select "Create image file from files/folders"

In "Options" tab select File System (i usually use same as original dvd has) or only "UDF" if conversion makes 4GB+ files.

Labels tab write label mentioned in conversions example: GAME_NAME

On the left for source select "Browse for a folder..." and browse to GAME_NAME folder, it will ask if that folder present root directory for the image content, always select "YES" if doing conversion

"Destination" is where you want to make iso or drive for empty disc if output is "device"

Then selecting "Build" it will ask again if that folder present root directory for the image content and it will confirm volume label if you didn't write it in label tab.

OK!!!!
Senseman's conversion works perfectly (install and uninstall tested).
But, for italian version, the CoDWaW.msi must be so modified:

591

The installation (DVD1-2-1), i repeat, is exactly like senseman; only msi must be modified.

THANKS, Senseman.:D

Ok I got the last problem to work. I had to install Windows Installer Clean Up and I retried it and it worked. But the installer just kicks (or finishes) without any confirmation. Like there is no "Finish" or "View Readme" or anything of that sort? Why does this happen? I dont get any shortcuts or anything of that sort, it just kicks. Help? I am using Win XP Pro x64. THANKS!

that happens if u dont all the files in the root folder of disk #2.

How can i find out the LastSequence Numbers for the german msi ?
German LastSequence = 178

To find, just open the msi with Orca, then goto "File" in the list, on the right up top click the last barmenu for "Sequence" so they are ordered from 1 to XX then just scroll all the way down to see last one
