problem is at the start of the game,i have done everything wats says in the crack folder, and i still cannot play the game,can sameone help?:confused:

Insert your original dvd and then you can play the game.

What about mini-image? Is the one of GCW supposed to work? 'cause it doesn't for me :( I have latest daemon tools and yasu but Securom still sees a virtual drive. Any suggestions on how to get GTA4 work w/o DVD? I'd like to keep it as immaculate as possible (it's already scratched from how they stacked DVDs one on the top of the other in the box)

I would actually be interested to know too just to be sure. Is it definety definite you have to have the DVD in the drive the whole time? I've tried to play with the files here on GCW but no luck still get a conflict with emulation software detected. (My copy is 100% legit/genuine and paid for)

I've recently bought the game and i'm also looking to install the game without as much as possible of the securom and without the disc in the drive.

I later found out that steam has this game, so you won't need the disc in the drive there. But still, all the securom stories of computer problems worries me.

i had 0 issues with it and securom, its quite passive, the rockstar social club + windows live was something i found CONSIDERABLY more annoying :)

Same here, securom on GTAIV didnīt give me any issues but i did find the the rockstar social club + windows live REALLY annoying, and yes you do need xp sp3 or vista sp1 installed, however the crack makes my game crash at startup, so original for now, awesome game, big difference from xbox (yes i bought it twice, couldnīt help myself though).

I installed the game from dvd and it worked without any problems thanks. Great game btw!

Haven't tried a mini-image, waiting for daemon tools lite to support it.
