Works Fine. INstall Sequence ( dvd1-dvd2-dvd1 )

The Game has 5 languages - But dont fit on a single dvd :rolleyes:

Please insert disc "3"

I am the only one who got this message....

When the install askes for Data4.cab it says: "Please insert disc "3"... ",
Did this happend to anyone?

how cand I edit and put "2" and not "3"
till today, no one has found a way to overwrite the disk prompt.
you'll have to live with that :)

Only way is to repack cabs, so data3.cab will be on Disk 2 and then it will ask to insert Disc 2

Disk Prompt when requesting different cab files

data2.cab "Please insert disc 1"
data3.cab "Please insert disc 2"
data4.cab "Please insert disc 3"
data5.cab "Please insert disc 4"
and so on...Mondragon conversion works, only thing i did differently was that i copied all files from disc 1 to disc 2, not only folders. It ask Disc 1 at end but just press ok, all files are installed, no need to insert Disc 1 again

Tested on XP, autorun on, no changes to disk 2 autorun.inf and Vista 64bit

1) Copy game to temp folder
2) Download 'POP08-iscab14.0.0.162' and extract to temp folder
3) Run:
layout.bat
02_extract.bat - wait until finish [temp folder takes almost 14GB]
03_remove.bat - wait until finish [data2.cab - 747MB]
04_add_fake.bat - wait until finish
CLEAN_.bat


II. Cleaning to eng only
edit setup.ini and change from>to

III. Important parts and the longest - Compressing
1) Download FreeArc and install it to any place

2) Run FreeArc and go to temp folder and subfolder 'Support\VCRedist\' [where extracted 11 forge files exists]
check screenshot for option for every forge file - pack it separately with max compression + gui
[select one file and click red button 'Add', 'Maximum (192mb decompression): -mx -ld=192m', check 'Windows GUI: freearc.sfx']

Do these steps for every forge files
after all files are compressed - delete all orginal forge files [leave new exe in untouched]

3) Download loader by nando2002, extract it to Support\VCRedist\

4) Make image with any volumelabel and test it before burn

NOTE
in freearc option
'Maximum (192mb decompression): -mx -ld=192m'
mean 2x192MB to decompression - 402 mb for me not 200MB or 192MB

Dvd5 conversion worked fine for me, but I have a question. If I choose to install PoP to D: for example, will forge files end up in C: or correctly in D: ?

kolton ask this because when you choose to install game on other drive (mine is D:\Games) setup tell you that only 300 mb will take on this drive but when you continue with installation game installs fine and take approx 7.5 gb and installs where you tell the setup to install.

u know in freearc u can just select all the files and do 'compress each file to seperate file'
not do them one by one.

Mondragon conversion works perfectly in 1dvd5. Wow languages sure takes a lot of space... Thanks mondragon for this knowledge!
