Anyway to disable to updater for Sacred 2, I've already re-installed twice, this is going to be the third time and it seems that once that updater runs I can't run the game again at a later time. Now everytime I try to run the game, all that boots up is the updater.

Also I forgot to mention that my other computer thats running on XP, I'm using vistax64, is not having this problem. The only difference I can make is that I did not intall the elite graphics on the computer with XP. I'm going to re-install without the elite graphics and see if i'm still having the same problem.

Looks like removing the updater did the trick. Although instead of deleting it, I renamed mine "Sacred2Updater.exe.bak". It doesn't seem to prompt me to update nor affect the game play. I can't be certain though since I only tested it by closing and booting the game 3 - 4 times.

for a game like sacred 2 its usually always best to use the latest patch as the patches usually fix some bugs and bring in some updated stuff to the game..

Or just block the updater.exe with your windows firewall, works perfectly fine on my end.

And also its one copy per one machine :)
