Steering wheel poser!

Hi,
My son has just aquired a Gamester Dual Force Sterring whell and pedals. When he tries to use it with Formula One 2003 everything works accept the accelerator pedal. It works on all his other driving games. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

P.S We are trying to get a clamp for the above wheel. can anyone tell me where I might get one from?

Just an idea: on a PC, it sometimes does matter whether you configure the accelerator and break pedals as two separate axes or one combined axis. (Yes, I know you're not talking about a PC.)
