Hi everyone new member here. I need some advise from people in the know on this new securom shit that has been packaged with my sims game. I want to know if its possible to install the game without installing securom. I had to do a complete format of my hard drive this week just to get rid of securom coz it was screwing up my dvd drive amongst other things. I really want to play the games I paid for but securom wont allow me to do it. So please if there is anyone out there who knows how to install my game without securom shit plz help me out.

Install the game from your original, DON'T LAUNCH IT, apply the crack first, then launch it. In the case of addons for The Sims 2, search on the forum for the appropriate order of installation.

can you elaborate on that? i mean, do you claim securom won't allow you to do it because it wants you to have the disk in the drive, or does it give some other error?

To be honest Securom has never required me to format my pc coz it.

Securom is not that intrusive as starforce once was

And have more than 100 games with that protection. I guess is the most used from all on pc games

same here, haven't had an issue with it at all, even when i had to activate some games... non intrusive...

some people are just anti drm and jump on the bandwagon

im also surprised how tages and safedisc (to an extend) dont get shit because they use drivers (and vob protectdisc too) ... starforce got a lot of shit because of their drivers, but tages, vob and safedisc seemed to 'escape' these claims...
