Hi there,

The Stranglehold 1.1 is really important, as it fixes some stupid bugs. It was out on december 2007.
Is there any no-dvd patch for this version?

I tried Securom 7 softwares, like sr7.stop 1.2, PrOtStOp 1.1 and Anti-Blaxx 1.18.
I also tried to manually desactivate my hardware DVD drive ans turn on/off all emulation options with DT4 pro.

Of course, the 1.0 no-dvd do no work with Stranglehold 1.1.

Is there any trick to combine no-dvd 1.0 with Stranglehold 1.1?
Or a way to bypass Securom 7?

Thanks for your precious help.

John

You don't need any special tools, just mount your proper image into latest DT Pro Advanced/Lite and start the game.

When I do this, it says "Please insert the original "Stranglehold" CD/DVD".

This message is in french, as I have a french OS, but I installed the english version of the game.

Another thing, I'm under Vista SP1, maybe it's harder to do under Vista?

Why dont you have the french version of stranglehold? It is out there in French stores.

This is not the point. The EU version is multilingual (2 DVDs) but I installed the english language because I'd rather like to play games in english. Not much to do with my question, in fact.

Because it looked weird that you are french with a french OS but yet the english game?

Didnt make sense to me, and yes I know the Euro version is Multilingual. But unfortunately there is people out there who blatantly have a different language of a game for obvious reasons.

Hence why I asked you :)

But for the DT pro/lite problem, But perhaps Blazkowicz meant that your proper image means a full image of the game that you have made, perhaps mini-images dont work with 1.1? I have no idea never did install 1.1 patch as I completed the game before I noticed the patch was available.

With proper image i always mean full image and no maxi/mini crap.

Ok, thanks, I'll try with a .mdf image.
I tried with a simple .iso image, maybe the probelm comes from here?

Yes, iso doesn't contain copy protection related data.

Is there really a patch for the European version of the game?
So far, I've only discovered a patch for the English only US-version, which fixes no more than a few menu bugs.

Everything's here:

There are some more bugs fixed, like using arrow keys when from cover.
This is mainly why I patched the game.

Ok I managed to use a .mdf image with Alcohol120%.
But I don't know why, I can't use it with DT Pro, all emulations on or off, with or without Prostop, hiding or not my physical DVD player, etc.
