Im trying to play Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic without having to sacrifice a dvd rom slot, but every time I go to open it up with the virtual image mounted in Daemon i get the error message "original disk required, cannot use a backup". Tried a crack but dont know if I did it right, and just kinda need any help I can get right now.

Tried another No Cd crack and replacing the exe file, but it still wont work, do I need to mount a mini image or what?

Make sure.


1. Its for the right region of your game. I.e. using a European crack on an American version may lead to problems.

2. Make sure its for the right version of the game, A game with no patches is generally v1.0 so if you installed no patches get the crack for v1.0, if you installed patches find out the version number of the game and get that crack.

3. A mini-image should have worked, unless you used the wrong region of a mini-image, as explained in 1.

IIRC starting game exe in a compatibility mode might help to start with an image.

How did you create your image (program, settings) ?
