View Full Version : Lost Empire Immortals
Would anyone can make a mini-image for this game!?
It's quite strange to know that you can play the game with the disc inserted, but with my CD/DVD dive I cannot make a perfect image of it... :(
Hell, damn LG CD/DVD writers-readers...does somebody has a Plextor unit?! :D ;)
Thanks in advance
Bollo
what protection does it have?
(more info helps, especially considering you're asking someone to make a mini image for you).. we aren't all mind readers...

Sorry for being some lazy about the info "TippeX"...here it's the information made by "cdkiller" in another post (hope it's not deleted by double post :) )
E:\Lost Empire - Immortals\Loader.exe

[!] SecuROM Detected - Version 07.36.0006
I don't know if it's impossible to make a *working* image for this game since it's using Securom 7.36, or it's just a damn feature that I don't have because of my CD/DVD drive... ;)
hehehe....thanks for the replies Blazkowicz and TippeX. :D
See ya!

Well, you could try to create an image with DT Pro or Alcohol 52/120%, New SecuROM Plugin and try different DPM speeds.
But as this SecuROM version is blacklisting DT and Alcohol, you have to wait for a new version which fixes this blacklist.
Thanks for the info....hope the new version can do "magic" against this protection ;)
or better, hope somebody make the mini-image... :D

1.03 patch comes out tomorrow, lets hope they fix alot of the bugs. Cause the game is kinda fun :)
I tried to make a mini-image with no success :\ Ill have another go later :)
heh 1.03 tomorrow? damn, i forsee lots of whiney 'not working, wheres the crack' posts ...
newest securom, could be tricky to make image / get past emulation detected stuff, only real way is trial and error.. but first, start with making a full image, then if it works start playing with making it mini/maxi...

It can't TippeX if that version is correct and not like 1.01 hotfix of Frontlines (SecuROM 7.36.0007)
Never say Never!
Fortunately being a PC shop owner I got plenty of hardware I can use to make an image :P One of those drives is bound to read the disc nicely :)

I haven't meant the image creation, i meant starting the game with an image.
Well same thing aint it, to make an image that the game will start up with :)
Well same thing aint itIt ain't unless you edit some Reg keys, or wait for next DT release ..... or use custom versions :)
heh custom versions of dt.. interesting ;)
Thanks for the replies DABhand, TippeX, Zulu and Blazkowicz....hell, the protections are getting tought now...even with a good CD/DVD drive you can't make a working image...
Hope DABhand continue trying to make the image... :D
See ya...will continue enjoying it and Sins of a Solar Empire...both games are great! One for being a great TBS and the other for being a new kind of RTS.
Bollo
PD...hey...custom versions of DT!? will be glad to have a chance to test it! :D ;)
well hmm, if the image worked for v 1.0, 1.1 of the game, then it stands to reason the image is ok, so it has to be an update in the protection.. perhaps mini/maxi images dont work anymore for this flavor of securom... i haven't got the game, so i can't check further sadly..

Cheeky :P
Made full image not a problem, but mini-image is becoming a pain. Tried with various hardware and of course the modded DT files I have. Even tried to zero out the tracks to leave the Topography and TOC.
Im sure something will pop up along me travels to allow me to get a working mini-image.

I already did try that, I did say I zero'd out the tracks to leave the topography and TOC.
There has to be something else to it rather than just topography reading. Something in a file on the CD or a specific track.
@DABHand
To my foreign ears it sounded like it still depends on hardware to create the working mini though you already have a working full one.
Do you get Securom error 4003 with your Mini ?
Yeap...you're almost there to have a working mini-image...will try to figure out if there's a file or something else that the protection checks...
See ya..

Bog standard "Please insert" after 4 mins of checking.
@DABHand
When you get "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup" message it's primarily (maybe only - if there is no ISO check) a topology problem.
Missing ISO check sectors would produce error 4003 - if topology check passed successfully.
You don't necessarily need complete TOC; for most Securom titles it's even better to insert zeroes from sector 17.
Full image works ok, quick authentication and start up, zero'd it takes 4mins+ to even authenticate and finallys gives the "please insert" message.
This leads me to believe that there is something more to it all than just the topography.
This leads me to believe that there is something more to it all than just the topography. If you have a Buslogger i can PM you how Securom ISO check works.
EDIT: if you're using a raw image you may not zero EDC/ECC/SUB fields; the 4 minutes make me consider that ;)
Beta Patch 1.03 can still be run via the cracked 1.02 loader.exe, although there is some improvements, there is other bugs present, at this moment unfortunately the game is very unplayable to be honest.

I wasnt using raw this time, although I did try and it failed majorly.
I just feel there is more to this version of Securom that is very sneaky.

Compressed Maxi Image Download (http://www.sendspace.com/file/btotl9)
Uncompressed Maxi Image Download (http://www.sendspace.com/file/buqgai) (might work for some with DT 4.06)
Will upload to GCW when next DT got released.
EDIT: this title doesn't show error codes
EDIT: this title doesn't show error codes
Yeah hence why I said bog standard "please insert" msg :)
Yeap....with the latest daemon it only shows the "Disc Emulation detected"...perhaps using YASU or another tool...
Hope the blacklisting be fixed in the next release of daemon...
Thanks...see ya! :D

I'm not able even to run 1.0 with or withour crack/DT etc
I just installed 1.03 with no luck... Also tried the mini/maxi images someone posted above
Where is the 1.02 cracked loader? I can't find it anywhere
Thanks

No crack for the lost empire: immortals patches at the moment. The game came out extremely buggy, so i know it's unplayable without patches. Cracking this it's not exactly on the priority list of the usual suspects.

heh the loader.exe is securomīed but it didnīt get updated in patch v1.03 so u still can use the old crack (thats why there is no cracked update available, there is no need for it as the loader. exe is still v1.00 but the game.exe is updated to v1.03)

That explains why. Well, I think it's gonna take a few more patches until the game will be at the quality needed to play it. It was pretty bashed in reviews for the huge bug quantity. Not exactly the game we expect from Paradox.
