For general gaming solutions, read the PC Games form FAQ first.

It is entry II/1 that you need to read through. (But, while you're there, read the rest, too.) Furthermore, for your generic problem description you were given a general answer; there's nothing wrong with that. (Of course, the PC Games forum FAQ also describes how to report game problems properly. Your reply shows that you didn't read the FAQ carefully enough...)

i already checked the faq and updated as many drivers as i could. it is obvious my system supports the game. i have a toshiba satellite, and even in the graphics compatibility list theres a section on dark messiah. when i bought the computer it came with a sticker of dark messiah. so i doubt my system could not play it. the problem seems to be more subtle. i was hoping somebody here had the same problem. apparently not
A toshiba satellite is a laptop if i remember very well. And they use onboard graphic cards which may not support OpenGL or Pixel Shading perhaps required from the game.
Im assuming your talking about Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, which requires the following.
AMD Athlon/Intel PIV 3ghz, 1gb Memory, 256mb DX9 Video Card 7gb HDD Space DX9 Compliant Soundcard.
So as you see you need a dedicated Graphic Card. Unless you can give me your Toshiba Satellite model number I can check to see if the onboard card will be compatible.
To make it easier ill add this http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/ubi_srl_uk?registration_option_id=4423 this will check your system to see if it can indeed run it.
