whats the best program to use to back up my ps2 and ps1 games? i tried to back them up with nero but the backups wont play one ps2. do i need something eles? i dont have a modchip in it is this why?

but i thought that you can backup and play burnt games with out mod chip???? it can be done right? i was just asking how for sure?

Not with a disc. only with an HDD and a compatible program like HDLoader or HDAdvance.

Not with a disc. only with an HDD and a compatible program like HDLoader or HDAdvance.The PS2 still needs to authenticate the disc as a valid PS2 game. Therefore, if you attempt to load a copied game onto the HDD via HDLoader / HDAdvance in an unmodded machine it'll fail...

yea best case is to add the iso or image using winhiip with hd loader, not really diffiicult at all and recently ive playing playing tons of pal and slps (jap) titles on it, its best case scenario! also winhiip will mount copied images ie backups

You can boot your games from memory card with ESR free mcboot.
Donīt forget that the backups must be patched properly.
