Seems Fakelight have been busy lately, here's their Timeshift Crack:

Vitality can't crack all types of securom, only simpler variants :)
Besides, some people are reporting problems with this crack :)

*EDIT* Just noticed there is a 1.01 patch released, so it looks like the game is bugged not the crack!
Some people say that after applying crack for 1.0 it won't even start up, while an image works fine. Considering that there is no crack out for 1.1 (which fixes a lot of stuff) either, I think that the legit users are having a better experience ;)
How'd they let a game go gold when it has bugs? Did the test the freakin game with securom active?
And I see DETONATION are now crackfixing FAKELIGHTS stuff starting with Painkiller Overdose :)

I always try to play my games without a CD/DVD, but it takes somtimes a while before there is crack released, and sometimes the crack fails on Vista, like those for Dirt

Well, I agree in stopping bashing the teams. If there´s a faulty crack, fine. Let it get proper by themselves or others. Anyway, it WILL get proper than soon, if someone showed the way how to break into the protection.
Sure, there were times where small unwrappers could do the magic. But any new version of the protections fuck around with new blacklistings (see DT Pro) and deep system driver shit nowadays. So we should be thankful that there are still skilled people to try to compete. ... and if there won´t be cracks within a fews days, also anyone is crying and bashing at the teams... Is xxx not able to crack it? So, in my oppinion, a faulty crack is better than no crack, because the faulty one will be propered asap.
I still knock on wood for FLT. I guess they will be no.1 some day again, kickin´ publishers ass with their skills...
And in the meantime... Do your cracks yourself or proper the faulty ones.

Oh the fucking irony. How can something be quality when they don't even remove the protection? Just use a technique better known as a workaround, which is only good until someone over at securom smartens up and adds more triggers to trip up this kind of shitty cracking. Sure, some of you might argue, protections are harder these days, and this is better than removing the entire protection yadayadayada....
Thats crap. If the protections are so hard, why then are Vitality and Hatred releasing cracks with the securom completely removed? (Vitality doesn't clean up the obfuscation, but thats a cosmetic matter....). Because they put the effort into it, have the skills, and do it properly.
And here come these Fairlight guys releasing cracks with the protection still intact, and then they have the nerve to say that this is "Quality"...? "First working wins"...?
Maybe we should all just start coding loaders then....
But whatever, if you guys want to support this kind of crap and shit on everything that "Quality" stands for, go right ahead. I mean, you're satisfied as long as you can play your games without the CD, right? Then go on, ignore me....

Badly made cracks suck. Big time. But, we do get them for free. Someone is making the cracks on their spare time. With what right do we complain? Why should a cracker be flamed for what he does? For free. For us all. Ok, so there is a LOT of prestige in the scene, but who benefits? In the end - we who want to use the cracks.
The crackers is not the enemy. The companies who put the protections in are. Anyone who is willing to code even the tiniest workaround should be praised for it. Why? He just made our gaming a little bit easier.

But I agree about the useless NFO-wars. That's just childish. I've yet to meet a "l33t c00l cracker" who dared to stand his ground against anyone in real life.

Any road up, the Timeshift crackfix (Crackfix? It's a cracked patch isn't it!) seems to be working now, tried it last night and didn't have any obvious problems but will there be a proper? :)

Well...
If you don't install the lastest Drivers (beta or not) the game will: restart using FLT crack or freeze the loading image (you can hear the sound of the intro video) but no restart/hang using the DVD.
So... after updating the drivers (nVidia beta), i've play the game till die :) without any problem.
I assume the 1.1 crack is OK.
They knew the retail v1.0 game was bugged that's why they released v1.1 so quickly, and because it was bugged it caused the crack to screw up too!
Quality control took a back seat on this one!

Are you using WinRAR 3.71? I have a freezing problem with this version, sometimes it just stops while unpacking/packing and I have to move my mouse onto the WinRAR window to get it start again, weird!
I have a problem with getting my timeshift to work :/
I first installed it and got it working with the flt crack, then I updated to the 169.04 driver (before I had 169.01), and it wouldn't even start.. I then switched back to 169.01, doesn't work.. then I reinstalled the game while I had 169.01 drivers, still doesn't work. Then I switched back to 169,04 and I've tried installing serveral times, and it just doesn't work..

I have the same problem, I install the game run the patch then copy the crack and paste in bin folder of the game, but it doesn't start.

The lamest thing about my problem is that the game ran perfectly smooth until I updated to a new driver, and now I can't get it to work - I've reinstalled over 10 times and tried lots of different cracks..
Totally uninstall the game and reinstall, apply patch then crack!
If you've already ran the game then applied the update and crack it seems to screw the game up, I couldn't use mouse or keyboard after updating!! v1.0 of the game is bugged anyway so best to update to v1.1.
Also using 169.04 drivers, after a reinstall + 1.1 patch Timeshift is working fine, also 1.1 crack is working too!
I've tried all of which you described already and none of it has worked.. I just reinstalled, downloaded the flt crack fix and it doesn't work..
I have no idea what there's left to try.. I can't get any driver, patch or crack combination to work...

roflmax try using the v1.1 mini-image - load with Daemon Tools 4.10 and use YASU to avoid blacklist (remember to save YASU to DT folder and run it from there)
I've tried searching for a mini image, can't find it anywhere?

GCW has one.
Even with the mini image it doesn't work... it just shows the silouette of a window for a second and then closes... this is 100% fucked up.
Does it work ok with your original roflmax?
Make sure the entire game folder has been deleted after uninstalling, it may have left your savegames and config info there!
I have made sure whole the folder is gone, I've also removed the .reg files for the game and the patch.

Yes, I notice that too and that's why I wrote the version I'm using. Since I'm playing other games I can't go back to DT 4.06 because I don't know if they will work and is always the best to use lastest version apps like this :)

I forgot to update my graphics drivers, the image freeze but the sound continues (i heard all the intro movie sound - the reporter talking).

essentially the 1.0 image should be the 1.1 image too
considering the disk isnt updated, the exe is.. ie: protection signature remains intact
after all they cant put more stuff onto a pressed cd/dvd can they

Also. Im using Daemon 4.06HE with Y.A.S.U v1.4.7080 and it doesnt work :(

(and i with the crack when i run it resolution changes + i get a black screen for a few seconds, like its starting up, then it just quits not even an error message :S )
EDIT:
I updated drivers again (funny cause when i first installed i used nevest ATI drivers, now i used the nevest Omega drivers) and it works with the crack now.

I had originally tested it the following way...
DAEMON 4.10.0218.0
STPD 1.50
YASU 1.4.7080
Timeshift v1.2
v1.1 mini image
But it didn't work...
The reason is that the latest YASU is for DAEMON 4.06 specifically...
I'll test it again with older DAEMON and report my findings.

Looks like I'm stuck with DT Pro 4.10 - because 4.06 won't run on my machine (the infamous "invalid device" error)

so uhh guys, i just joined today and i'm desperate to play this game rite now...........just need to know if the crack provided in this topic is working or not or if there is actually a working crack rite now?? I'm pissed cuz i tried the 1.0 crack, didn't work so i reinstalled the game and patched it to 1.1, replaced the originals with the 1.1 crack and still doesn't work, and mind u i've tried the 1.1 crack provided in this topic as well as the one i got from ************* which is by FairLight i think or this other team........then i reinstalled and patched to 1.2 and tried the 1.2 crack and still doesn't work............wasted a bloody hour on this......disappointed..
and btw i didn't start the game be4 patching or replacing the crack, just so u guys know cuz some of u said that u can't start the game first be4 u apply the crack.
oh and i'm using Radeon 9600 PRO, i know it sucks but hey it's good enough to meet the requirements.....i've updated to the newest driver as well, v8.4......
when i tried to start the game, i see a transparent box as if the game is about to launch and it suddenly disappears, it happens very quickly, like when you execute a command in the CMD and it closes really fast in a blink of the eye.......it just keeps closing so quick, as if it wasn't launched in the first place.....
and u guys were talking about 1.1 images or something, do i need those??

Also, do i need Daemon Tools PRO 4.06 or just the basic? I'm using the newest Lite Version rite now btw........i do have the PRO version but it's 4.10.......

The cracks are working. I've used them gradually, updating the game while still playing. As for the mini-image, you can't install the game from it. It's made just to be a No-DVD solution, but that's it. You can't install as those files are just shadows, fakes, made to fool the game to believe that the DVD is in the drive.
But 9600 Pro is nowhere near of the minimum system requirements:

well i also have a 8800 gtx but that's on my dad's PC...
i just need to know if the cracks are working or not, cuz the majority says no......and obviously it didn't worked for me like i said.....and trying the DTP etc would waste even more time than i already have, sometimes i don't wanna mess up the way things are already setup on my system, and downgrading a program etc is just plain annoying.........could someone actually confirm and provide just simple steps on how to get this working? This has never happened to me be4.......
and did the teams not test it be4 they release it?
Listen people PC's have thousands of combinations of hardware out there, what do you want them to go out and buy every piece of hardware and test all possibilities just so the crack will work for you?
These guys are doing it for the buzz of doing it not for you, remember that.

Again, I repeat myself: played the game with the fairlight cracks for 1.0-1.1 and the Hatred crack for v1.2 Usually the shooters are spending a lot of time on my HDD because I always intend to play them at a moment or another and there is always something more interesting to finish than a shooter. So while this game stayed on my HDD the patches were gradually releases, so the cracks and I've updated with the flow. I've started the game with v1.0 and finsihed whith the v1.2 update installed and using the Hatred crack.

I don't think that you've read the thread very careful. The people are complainig about the mini-image every time when a patch was out and a crack wasn't quickly released.
You can see what was the problem with the crack 1.0. It wsn't the crack with problems, but the game was that buggy. You can also see some of the confirmations of the v1.1 and 1.2 cracks working in this thread. But I guess reading 6 pages is hard.
And as a side question? What about trying the DVD and check if your videocard does meet the minimum specs? Without the crack, just insert the DVD in drive and see if the game starts without a crack. Then we can talk if there is a problem with the crack or not.
