As FIFA MANAGER 08 is not officially available yet (only in a few stores) only a few ones already own it. Thats why there is no crack yet. Unfortunately SecuROM 7.33.0017 [thx CDKiller ;)] has been updated so yasu + DT PRO (even with vIDE) doesn't work cuz of DT blacklisting. The ultimate solution in this case is Game Jackal (http://www.slysoft.com/de/gamejackal.html). Newest version has anti-blacklist features and makes the game run without image or orig DVD.
Just follow instructions on screen. Should work fine.
This may also work with other games which won't run with DT pro yet, for example SEGA football manager 08, world in Conflict, Jericho......;)

I have submitted the fairlight Crack to the main site. Should be up within the next update.
There are a few new methods to run this game for all who don't like game jackal:
- DT 3.41 + SecuROM Loader 1.1 with modified .dll (win XP only)
- DT 4.06 + Yasu
- making an image with Virtual CD 9.1 and than mounting in phys. device
Seems to be a strange version of SecuROM. New emulationsoftware and emulation methods are blacklisted (excepting GJ and VCD) but older tools and methods aren't.
All these methods are confirmed but I only tested the GJ method (the best for me) ;)
how do you mean modified dll? some one you patched or some one that was released?
It's just the AlkiSecuROM way of renaming and fitting dll name in the exe
nothing of all above works for me ...
Then u mayhave a bad image. Did you create it with alcohol or DT?

The posedon mini-image didn't work for me with with DT 4.06 and Yasu.
At least not with the .mds-file that poseden provided.
After I replaced posedens .mds with my own created .mds-file from my original disc and renamed it to fit to the provided .mdf-file it worked perfect.
So I suggest you create your own .mds-file or wait if poseden updates theirs.
Btw. I have the German version of the game.
where can i find a working mds file

The image doesnt work. Getting same error as jefo.

Have tried with multiple versions of DT (4.09 + 4.06), along with each combination of YASU versions I could be bothered to try (1.4 + 1.3).
Have tried also getting a different .mds file and renaming to match the poseden .mdf name - didnt work.
Have tried also changing the virtual drive letter in DT to my physical drive letter (after disabling physical drive) as suggested by someone somewhere - didnt work.
Have also tried all 1.1 fixed exe's (vitality) that I could find on GCW and elsewhere - didnt work (game just crashes to desktop after an amount of time)
In short....I have yet to find a method that works without the original DVD. They really did a number with this protection.

I've just got it to work with DT 4.06 and YASU 1.3.
I have no idea why it has just decided to work, but I tried both these versions together yesterday with no luck.
Today, its working.....even after I patched the game with EA's patch.
The only thing different I have done since yesterday (when I first started testing with no luck) is that I've re-downloaded DT and YASU from different locations today than the ones I got yesterday (if that makes sense)....they are both still same versions as the ones I tried yesterday tho, so I have no idea why that is.
Advice for those who havent got it working yet.....keep trying.....download DT and YASU from as many different locations as you can find until one works......thats all I did (and yes I know, it's weird).

So, where did you get them from (other than the official downloads, along with mirrors) that they work? Have you done a byte-by-byte comparison between your downloads and the officials ones?

I'm not sure I'm understanding what you mean brother, but if you mean what I think you mean, I had already deleted all versions that I tried from yesterday (and I had that many, its hard to track where I got them from) so a comparison is not now easy to make (sorry).
More additional information (and this is probably way more relevant) is that this time I did something different in DT options. Now I only have securom emulated (yesterday I had all emulations on), and also, turned "automount" feature off.....these are the only different things I have done with DT since yesterday (I've only just thought of that, and its probably more relevant than my previous post).
In Yasu, differences from yesterday are, turned off safedsic cloaking (its on by default) and only have securom cloaking enabled.
Sorry, should have mentioned these things right off the bat, but i'm new to this kind of thing.

You have a Daemon Tools and/or YASU installation package that "works". And that's probably NOT the official installation package that can be downloaded from the obvious location - the Daemon Tools/YASU homepage -, otherwise what would be the point in searching for other downloads on the Net. That's what I don't really understand...
So what's the different between your download and the official ones? You have yours, download the official ones, compare them. Are they the same? If so, you only managed to change something in the configuration and that's the only reason why the game started working.

Yep the main reason why I didnt get YASU from the official source is because on their site, I couldnt find a link to older versions, and I wanted to test all versions that I could (especially 1.3, since this is the version that is shown on the GCW fifa manager 08 page - and the latest version, the one they have on official yasu page, is 1.4), and I thought this is one of these niggly little problems that will probably be fixed by a niggly solution like using an older version (ha).
so unfortunately, I cannot find v1.3 on the official page and cannot compare.
As for DT, exact same thing. Couldnt find the specific version I wanted to test, so had to get it from unofficial channels.
If you can find the links to yasu v1.3 and DT 4.06 through official source, I would be more than happy to make the comparisons and get back to you - to be honest though, I'm starting to think that it's more likely that the difference in the options is what did it.

Ehm, I didn't find older releases on either homepage...
But I don't think that's a very good idea anyway. A newer release of a free software is pretty much always better than an older one because a free software's aim really is the satisfaction of the end user, not making money or stuffing in more and more useless functionality that noone uses anyway.

^ totally agreed with your sentiment there.
On the other hand though, my favourite app sites are the ones that archive all their old versions (even if its just to document their walk through history), and often (like with apps like MAME), new functionality is'nt tested well enough, or old functionality is prefered by the user)....this happened recently with me and MAME, whereby I went back to using an old version because I didnt like the path the new version walked down. So I can subscribe to both types of thinking, but choice is nice!
anyway sorry, i'm rambling. I hope someone else gets this game working the same way I have. The last thing I want to say here is that the first thing I came in saying was "these images dont work". Apologies for that, there is nothing wrong with the posedon mini images, theyre fine - it's the options in the apps that have to be spot on (or it's the version thing)....one or the other, but the images DO work.

Hi all, I tried all the above, but no one seems working 4 me, I tried DT 4.06/4.09/Pro 4.10, but I had not joy at all, tried with alcohol, done few combinations.....but all I get is "conflict with the emulation software", I have the "fix image" from the site + "mdf/mds" image.......nothing at all, can some1 explain to me wot's the problem is? I just tried with DT 4.10.218, and the exe copy protected, but still have the same message back "conflict with emulator software", there's no other ways to go around this, mayb modifying the Fm08 1.1 (no-cd/dvd), making that working? Thanks

Contact Daemon Tools for letting you upgrade your 4.10.0218.0 to 4.11.0219. There seems to be some error with your account at disc-soft. BTW where have you downloaded 4.10.0218.0?
Yes, game works very fine in 4.11.0219 in virtual ide drive.

PES 2008 v1.2 uses same version and Poseden states it works with DT 4.06 + YASU 1.3.
I'm sure it does on his rig, but doesn't on mine (and other's).
Today DT 4.11.0219 trial (http://www.disc-soft.com/freetrial) of DT Pro Basic was released. This version or regular DT Pro Basic (with Adware) + YASU 1.3 or 1.4 might work - at least it does for PES 2008 1.2
P.S. If the mds file of Poseden image doesn't work for you, too, and your drive can't make a good DPM you can search the net for another one ;)

i just used daemon tools 4.06 and YASU 1.3 and it worked
i took a break for the exams and when i was back it worked fine
i dont know why but before it worked it just said please insert the original disc and not a backup and then it worked

Nothing there works (although YASU 1.3 refuses to run on my computer for some reason)

When I run it, nothing happens. I get the Windows hourglass, but YASU doesn't actually start up. If I look in Task Manager, it's just there, as a memory hog (90+% of CPU). I have put all the files from YASU.zip into DAEMON Tools in Program Files
Try again with YASU.exe from official sources: v1.3 (http://www.free-downloads.net/downloads/Yasu/) / v1.4 (http://yasu.copybase.org/)

YASU 1.4 always worked, it was 1.3 I had trouble with, Zulu's link worked, but even with YASU 1.3/DT 4.06 I get 'Conflict with Emulation...'.
...but even with YASU 1.3/DT 4.06 I get 'Conflict with Emulation...'.DAEMON Tools lite 4.11 has been released today.
Using that there won't be any conflict anymore. Of course you still need YASU.

I tried DTL 4.11 with YASU 1.3, didn't work. Turned Securom on in the DT options, still nothing. Tried YASU 1.4, and still I get 'Conflict with emulation software detected'. Turned everything on in DT, and STILL it won't work!
I found out why 1.3 didn't work, anyway:

Something else must cause that message on your rig; i'm sure it's not DT or YASU.
What kind of image do you use now ?
P.S. You never need to check emulation options when mounting images. They're only needed for burned media.

Yep. I found PowerISO running in the background. DT 4.11/YASU 1.4 says 'Wrong disc inserted", same with YASU 1.3
Also, the new MDS file just does the same

I don't believe such an ingame issue is anyhow related to the fact someone is using a mounted image.
Have you verified that same thing doesn't happen with original disc, too ?

it seems that you are using the 40MB no-dvd crack
it was released as the no-dvd crack for 1.1 but it was a wrong release

be aware that filemon and regmon will most likely (for safedisc and securom i think) cause another Security module error when trying to launch the game...
and, rebooting is the only way to fix that (and then not loading filemon/regmon again obviously)...

If you want to burn an emulated copy on DVD just create and burn image with Alcohol's 'SecuROM' datatype.
If your drive isn't capable of 'Data Position measurement' just use Poseden's or my MDS file with your selfprovided MDF file before you burn on DVD.
Enable 'RMPS' in Alcohol's or Daemon Tools' emulation settings, insert DVD and play.
Just use the mdf file from poseden image

"always work" - it can only work with the current patches (if it works at all)... any update could add in extra blacklisting etc.. so "always works" is guessing into the future... noone can answer it...

I got it working with Game Jackal.
1. Create a Profile
2. Choose the CD-Drive
3. Choose "No Default Profile"
4. Name the Profile (e.g. FM08)
5. Look up the .exe
6. Put in the original disc and wait

I also finally managed to get it to work with the new mds, however I still have a problem which I had with the no-cd that often my computer restarts when beginning the 3d match, between the first loading screen and the second. I have updated my drivers, and I really cant work out what the problem is

if it does help anyone, i'll tell you how it worked for me...
1. download DT 4.06 (link provided by Riggadon in 1 of his posts)
2. download Yasu 1.4 (link provided by Zulu)
3. use posedon's original files
4. in DT emulate only securerom (thanks Riggadon again)
5. in Yasu turn of safedisc, use only securerom (again, thanks to Riggadon)
6. don't worry, be happy... erm i meant - play the game :)
7. short notice: the cursor goes "CD" again (it changes to a spinning CD), but then it changes back to an arrow and the game launches as usual
i went on for about 2 months (game time), no crashes at all... with the fixed exe i had a crash every 2-3 days. so... everythings' fine, exept i didn't qualify for Euro cup with England, stupid Israel threw me out hehe :)

Now to my problem:
I downloaded the game, but i seem to have downloaded a differnet version than you, since i don't have the poseidon image, but an ISO from Fairlight..
So i downlaoded a converter, and made myself a .mdf file from that iso and downloaded the .mds that was linked in this topic. But it just wont wokr. I have Daemon Tools 4.06 and YASU 1.4, both with just the SecuRom abilities on. And i egt the "Wrong DVD/CD" Error.. Is that beacause i used the Firlight iso? I just dont want to download the Poseidon image again, cause that'll take another 3 days -.- Or is there no way around that?
Maybe Im also doin smth. else wrong O.o :confused:

What should I do now? If I mount the mds.file with DT it says"unable to image"
Does I need to use the MANAGER08.EXE from GCW or the original one?

If you only have an ".mds" file, create an ".mdf" image from your original and use the two together. This is described in the PC Game forum FAQ which you should have read...
Hi, I've been trying to get this to work for a few days and pretty much gave up.
I tried using the latest DT Lite and YASU 1.3/1.4 (dunno which builds) but that didn't work. I decided to give it one last go as I hadn't tried using DT 4.06 and it has worked! :D
1. I have the game installed with patch 2
2. Installed DT 4.06 from the link provided by Riggadon
3. Downloaded YASU 1.3.7070 from the link provided by Riggadon
4. Mounted Posedon's MDF file with Zulu's MDS file (renamed mds to match Posedon's filename - doubt that makes a difference ^^).
5. Opened YASU (with DT 4.06 already running), deselected SafeDisc 4 cloaking (leaving only SecuROM 7 selected), pressed cloak.
6. Run FIFA Manager from desktop shortcut, and it worked first time!
I left the DT 4.06 options unchanged after installing with exception to auto start. All emulation options off, Secure mode, auto mount and Tray icon options are on (leaving InUse check & auto start off).
Hopefully it'll continue working. Major thanks to Riggadon & Zulu for their help and everyone else for suggestions :)

Hey guys. Right. I did everything you said with DT 4.06 then with YASU 1.3, only checked SecuRom etc etc.
Everything worked fine, honky dorey.
But now! I'll try and play and all I get is..
use original disk not backup copy (1000)
Or somthing there abouts.

I create a mdf. file with alcohol 120% of my original dvd but it still not work with the steps you write down.
I use DT 4.10 and Yasu 1.4

Update the DT 4.10 SPTD driver at v1.55. It can be found at http://www.duplexsecure.com/en/downloads.
The Poseden mini-image for FIFA Manager 08 it's reported to work pretty well with DT.
I have tried it with DT 4.06 and now its working!

I have patch2 installed and got it work with DT 4.06+YASU 1.4,1.3 and DT 4.11&4.12+YASU 1.4 The game starts BUT!!then screen goes black and it crash after that easports bla bla blaa thing!. any solution to this??? and yes the image files are poseden and zulu's mds. HELP!:(
well, you could try the following...
1. use original disk + original exe
2. run yasu anyway and cloak away
3. see if the crash still happens
the idea of the above is to see if yasu's cloaking can actually interfere somehow with the game code.. if it does then it points the finger of blame at yasu... if it doesn't it points the finger at possibly a damaged file etc...

There is a fix by EA / Bright Future. They released a new .exe a couple of days ago that should avoid the crash / black screen.
Just look at fm07.de and the first news item contains a link.
I don't know if I'm allowed to direct link the file or if it even works with a non-german version of the game.

nice find :).. the executable (after extraction i presume) is protected probably, so this is not a no-cd.. (just to stop the 'its not a no-cd' posts)
