What ModChip do I have?

Recently bought a chipped PS2, but I have no idea what chip is in it!

It's an V3 console (SCPH-30003). I'm quite happy to open it up and have a look, but not entirely sure what I'd be looking for.

there will be about 20-30 wires leading from the chip to the motherboard you'll know what it is as soon as you see it

Why does it matter what chip you have m8? Is there a fault?

I was wondering if some of the older chips struggle to run the newest games?

As my ps2 seems to be having issues with ProEvo 08 and Fifa08

Althougn I've read that my burner 'LiteOn LDW-811S' isn't the best in the world for making ps2 backups.
