Knights of the old republic 2 issues.. Help please

Hi. I made a back up copy of my Knights of the old republic 2 incase my younger brother tried to break it.. he likes to do that... Anyway so he broke it. And i tried playing with my CD images and it won't let me. People say down load a no CD crack. but i herd some have spy-ware... But i downloaded one and tried playing it. which is worked and i didn't have spy-ware. But another issue arose which might be from this, but i don't know

My second issue is that i bought a new 128MB ATI radeon 9000. (was using an old Nvidia GeForce 4 420 MX with 64MB) and now i can't play. And for some reason my game says it won't work with the game because the drivers are out of date and the card's not faster enough...... Also it says it has 265MB not the 128MB it should have... Black & white 2 also says it has 256MB.

So i don't know if it's from the crack that i can't play the game anymore or what. But i have no clue whats going on.

Dont mean to be a killjoy but the GF4 420MX > Radeon 9000

If you have an AGP slot, I would recommend at least a Geforce series 6000 or upwards, or ATI x100 and upwards.

But just incase, uninstall the nvidia drivers and the ati, then restart the machine and reinstall the ATI drivers.

Oh your kidding me???? I thought it was better because it had more RAM.... S***.. guess i return it if i can... And yeah i have AGP but only 4x. and i bought a card that was 8x because i herd they worked in AGP 4x slots.. but it kept crashing. Any Nvidia cards i can buy that are better then my 420 MX?

And yeah i have my Nvidia drivers uninstalled.

You, ,my friend, are in a dire need of a serious upgrade. For AGP 4X the series four were pretty much the last working well(the Ti4800 can be found at second-hand at low prices). But besides that, you actually need a brand new PC, if you still want to play games.

Yeah i know, I only wanna play these two really. Mainly Black & white 2 because thats not on anything other then PC.. And i don't know much about computers. Well i know alot. but not much about video cards. And im pretty broke. Any info on how i can get a newer tower for kinda cheap would be nice.

Shop around, ask some major stores if they have credit on machines, yes you will pay back more that way, but at least its an affordable payment per month.

My Shop (in the UK) sells a brand new system for £350 thats with 17' TFT, x1350 512mb radeon card, 2gb mem, 250gb HD (sata), AMD CPU (depending on whats the highest and cheapest at that time - but 64bit and over 3ghz)

So im sure you can find similar in a store near you, be about under the $500 maybe for you, but as I said ask for credit, if old enough and your credit is good you may get what you want.
