Overlord Crack and Windows Vista

I switched my system from WinXP SP2 to WinVista Business (upgrade version) and now the cracked exe for OVERLORD keeps crashing (turn off pc !!!) after a few seconds of playing. (Also with WinXP compatibility-mode)
Original disc without crack is working fine with Vista.

Anyone else with this problem?

I tried to make a mini-image of my original disc, but it don't work. Perhaps because of i only have a external (USB) dvd-drive.

Please can someone make a working mini-image for this game?

I use Vista Home Premium x64, and it works fine. There was a fixed crack, as the previous one caused errors on exit etc.

I also use the proper crack (without error on exit), but after a few seconds of playing, my PC turns off. Only the power-led is on. Then i have to press the power-button for 4 seconds to turn it complete off. The reset-button don't work at this. After that i can restart the pc.

As it is working for you with vista, it seems that there is a problem with my system... :(

Take the drive out of your USB case and plug it into your PC then make an image with it :)

What to do if you have an external SLIM DVD Drive? (like the Plextor 608u) (there is no "normal" drive inside like in most cheap ext. USB drives)
Anyway, I have no problems with overlord with Vista Ultimate x64 except that the game crashes when I close it.

Wonder if any is already working on a crack v1.1, but ok ... board rules say "wait some weeks"... :(

Take the drive out of your USB case and plug it into your PC then make an image with it :)It's the LG GSA-2166D. It can't be taken out of the case.

You get the crash on the original?

And as far as I know the patch didnt change the executable at all, except a revision number.

I can confirm this.
The patch only patch the uninstaller and a little bug in the halflings-brewery level.

I have the same issue with the cracked exe. Running Vista Ultimate 64bit. I don't have any change messing with compatibility modes...
