Colin McRae DiRT - NoDVD Crack for 1.1 released

I just downloaded the crack (http://m0008.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_colin_mcrae_dirt.shtml), and can confirm that it works perfectly for me :)
I use the German version (I think it is the main EU version) with patch 1.1

yes it does work with disk, i had to reinstal the whole thing couse i forgot to back up old exe :( is this for any specific version or something. i'm in the us

Doesn't work on my mates PC, he bought the original DVD which works OK but using the v1.1 crack it just silently quits, no error?

His system is an AMD FX-51, 2GB RAM, XFX 7950GT with PS3.0!

We tried it in W2K compatability mode and still it quits? Seems like the same problem I have with the Empire at War and Forces of Corruption cracks as they do the same thing on my AMD Athlon 3000+, just silently quit so can't play them unless I use the original discs :( Looks like I won't be buying this game now, hardly surprising when I have an X850XT :)

Hello.

I caused a problem.

1. Install game
2. apply patch 1.1
3. Reloaded Crack paste into install dir.
4. double click on icon of cmr. Black screen appear, hdd loading and game still, I wait for 5 min and effects dont change only hard reset. :/

How can i play ?

Well I bought the game, but I hate the starforce protection, so installed the game, installed the patch, didn't install the protection and tried the crack on Vista, but it doesn't work

But I'm afraid when installing the protection, it's gonna screw up my quite stable pc :rolleyes:

RAID = Redundant Array of Independent Disks. More or less: multiple disks that look like a single disk to the operating system (and applications), with the data spread among the disks.

I did not know that a raided PC is a PC with RAID, is this an official synonym? But I think DIRT does not recognize if it is running on a RAID disc or not. That is why it should work with and without raid, at least with the crack.

Fat also has a max file size of 2 gigs which could cause problems with games having huge .pak files.

I don't remember any game that had files such huge files... Most maxed out at 1-1.5 Gigabytes (Quake 3-4 engine'd games, FEAR etc.).

I've just built a new system and my mate came up with his copy of DiRT to try on my PC to see if it works with the 1.1 crack, and it does!

He has:

AMD FX-51 2.2 Ghz, 2GB RAM, XFX 7950GT AGP, MSI Mobo.

I have:

AMD 2.8Ghz Dual Core, 2GB RAM, XFX 7950GT PCI-E, Asus Crosshair mobo.

So not sure why it now works?

I also tried Empire at War with v1.05 crack, and that now works too? The v1.05 crack would not work in my previous system, so what's going on with these crackers?

Same problem here with both versions, 1.0 and 1.1
With or without crack, I get the same error.

oO something strike a bell there with intruction set , my game rig has ati1800xtx's with a intel dualcore 3.4ghz (d950) that im sure has SSE2 but which i believe has a NoVT flag somewhere i looked , at moment i cant connect a dcdrive without more hassle than game looked to be worth, soon tho , is bugging me
game installs on my 'proper PC' coreduo 2.4 with an nvidia7950 1gig gfx, crack also works on that pc, but that pc built for internet/server/lan stuff and was badly struggling with 1920x1080
no raid on the nvidia pc either tho

Hey guys, this thing really doesnt work on my pc.

intel core 2 6300 1.8ghz
256mb intel grafic card
1G ram

i tried no intro, no cd, update whatever combinations possible. still wont work ;(

there was a file on the cd sfdr....exe but didnt help. also i installed protection, rebooted, then i dont remember which combination i did but once i have successfully passed first phase of cd check, but failed on the disc info verfication where you can insert a serial number. but i never could get that screen back ;( no matter what i tried. any suggestion how to insert a serial?

the game won't save my profile! patched to ver.1.1, so everytime I launch the game, it says my savegame is corrupt. I had to uninstall it and the install it again with no patch

Here's one for you.

Game installs fine.

Try it with DVD, it displays the 'checking disc' message. Disc checks out OK, then the HDD flashes like its doing something. Then an error message occurs saying 'DiRT.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close blah blah' (you know, generic WinXP error message). Try it with the crack - same thing, only without the disc checking screen (of course).

System specs are:

Athlon 64 x2 4200+
2GB Ram
Dual Geforce 7900GT PCIx in SLi
Win XP.

System seems more than capable to handle it - but nup! Crashes everytime a coconut!

I guess it depends on how they did it, if they used a dual core CPU or a CPU with SSE2 then when they compiled and wrapped it, it may have left unique markers behind.

But still it is possible its a bad crack.

The readme file CLEARLY states an Athlon 64 is required:

Here's my tip for all the "Dirt closes silent" systems: Disable the NTFS-Compression for the Dirt installationfolder.

Compression should be off be default, you have to enable it manually for each folder/file you want to compress!

If it's on by default then all your NTFS volumes will have a performance drop!

One more quirk of the crack, my mate who can't get the 1.1 crack to run under XP has tried it in Vista Ultimate 32bit and it works, go figure?

still cant get this to run on a x1900xtx with d950 and a raid0 setup. original /crack and even demo all exact same error, tho i think now that chip maybe at fault, or the Hd's, using xp pro or home
runs on a e6600 without raid and with a x1300 card under xp pro, same system with a 8800gtx runs really nice , but dual 8800 ultras on a raid0 wont work at all :(
anyone running this crack using raid0? even demos on fresh intalls crash out
