g'day folks

i have the booster packs for bf2

and before 1.41 patch came out i was right used a fixed exe off gcw

but the problem is 1.41 doesnt have one.

i own the booster pack but everytime you go to play then they connect to a damn server to check if there legit

which pisses me off so i was hopeing someone could crack them for 1.41 like they did for 1.4 so that i can use the maps offline.

Just use a Mini Image of the original BF2 game, mounted in either Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120.

The same Mini Image works for BF2 + Special Forces + Armored Fury + Euro Force. ;)

@Alien Firefox
The game only needs to connect to the net for a few seconds.
Then you 'should' be able to play the maps in offline mode.
I cant be sure about that as ive never tried to play the booster packs offline.

As far as I am aware there is not a NoCD for v1.41. So I guess the only way to play these maps offline is to either use your disc or the Mini Image.

There is definately not a NoCD which will allow you to play online without using the disc. Thats why I always recomend the Mini Image method.

@grumpy

narrr the maps are somehow protected so that the maps need to connect to the internet for authentication i use a fixed image on my pc so i can play online but the booster packs still require an internet im im trying to get them to work without requiring an internet.

@chron

hey mate what did you send to gcw?

chron

There is a fixed exe for V1.41 (SinglePlayer) available on GCW (http://m0003.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_battlefield_2.shtml#Battlefield%202%20v1.41%20S P%20%5BENGLISH%5D%20No-CD/Fixed%20EXE).

i know i've tried it

why wont people listen

a normal fixed exe wont work

theres a certain part in the fixed exe that needs modifying so that the booster pack maps dont go searching for an internet status

An updated v1.41 SP Fix from DNS will be available asap

Alien Firefox

i got it

hey how do you do that

is it a unique part of the exe file

like is it the same hex data with every exe version.

so that link on later versions i can find it and do it myself without harrassing fileforums

hmmm

euro force works but armoured fury wont

armoured fury maps crash at 15% load

I found a repack and sent it to gcw.

I think there won't be further updates to BF2.

probably freakin will be

ea loves releasing updates

it helps prevent there game being illegally used and also is good for fucking the games users around for having to download 100's of megs of patches.

bloody friggin ea

remember ea released a patch for bf2142 the day before it was released

didnt even wait for it to be released and there was a damn patch for it
