Hey guys I have this game called Tradewinds Legends unlikely heroes. but when i click on the main game exe file "tw3x_release.exe" in that game directory i get the following error:

"The procedure entry point restorelasterror could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll"

I have windows 2000 by the way

Going through google and a few threads on this forum, i gathered that this error is because i am using ie. trying to run the game on an operating system lesser than XP.

Hence I have to make some changes in the game exe with hexeditors etc. to make it run on Win2k without any errors.

Problem is i have no idea, none at all how to do that. So i have uploaded my main game exe file in the hope that someone might help me with it please

Any other help with this error will be nice too :)

There's a automized "RestoreLastError fixer" software made by the group "SND". Search a bit on Google and you'll find it. Good luck! :)

Thanks buddy ;)

Just one another offtopic problem :D
Whenever I try to download a patch from gamecopyworld.com I just get a html file with this message written on it:
location: http://gamecopyworld.com/$link.shtml

I tried in both IE and firefox browsers.

Anyone here has any idea what the hell does it mean

This is your firewall or popup ad blocker blocking the anti-leech stuff on GCW's download pages. Read the sticky in the GameCopyWorld support forum!

:)

Well i dont have any firewalls but i do have only one antivirus program webroot spysweeper.

Shutting that download, got same error in firefox but it worked for IE. ie i could download from gamecopyworld through IE browser.

Guess the agent switcher plugin in firefox could do the trick for GCW downloads through firefox.

Thanks for all your help Joe :) Repped You.
