Did someone even notice, that SH4 isn't just protected with Securom 7x?
the 2nd part is FATE

It checks for cracked EXE and if it's so, it crushes the game slooowly.. u'll notice it after 30-60minutes playing. Ur ship falls without enemy contact, ur crew seems to be 2D models and talking random numbers until ur game crashes

There is no way to get this game correctly running but YASU
The problem is, the current version(1.1.7035) doesn't work for everyone

Well ViTALiTY released a crackfix for their crack.
Silent.Hunter.4.Wolves.of.the.Pacific.Update.1.1.C RACKFIX-ViTALiTY
And a note saying So we found and fixed a tricky trigger.

After that HATRED released,
Silent_Hunter_4_Wolves_of_the_Pacific_v1.2_Patch-HATRED
I haven't seen a nuke or heard about problems with that one yet.

So whats the problem?

lol I'm using Hatred's 1.2 nocd and alls fine with me. I just wish a cool trainer was made for the 1.2 update as well! :D

It is FADE, our old friend from Bohemia Interactive. The funny things is that the 1.1 patch corrects problems due to FADE, reported by customers. How nice! They didn't released a Japanese campaign(we had US in the first SH, Nazi U-Boat in SH 2-3 and again US in SH4), but they made a crappy protection which creates problems also for the people who weren't using their cracks, but their original DVD.
Well, I have the game, but having the previous experiences, I will wait until one final patch will come out(waited more than half of year until i've played SH3, due to bugs) to play it.

If you leave the game running long enough you will see that this FADE thing starts. Unfortunaltely this crack does not get past the fade like the last one did.

I am just hoping that someone can make one because I am getting fed up with putting in the dvd every time.

It should kick in within an hour. If you look around on other forums other people are also experiencing the same probs with the hatred crack.

If it is working for you then I dont know why....maybe you are just lucky I guess.;)

I'm also having problems with the v1.2 HATRED crack. 2D models, crew repeating numbers etc. This crack should be nuked! Crackfix for version v1.1 from Vitality works great though.

I guess my luck has run out now concerning this. I didn't see any fade but I sure as heck saw 2d models now. And buldging eyes. It was a scary sight! Well original dvd is back in drive again for this game meh..

I can confirm this. The HATRED crack doesn't work.
After some minutes of playing the navigation map looks strange. Also i cannot dive anymore and sometimes the crew get some really big eyes :eek: .
But i never heard my crew shouting out numbers.
Playing the game with dvd now but it would be nice if the crack will be fixed sometime.

How are you getting the maxi image to work?

The maxi image is really working. Though i am sure it did not with SH4 1.1. But maybe i did something wrong.

I use YASU v.1.1.7035 and DaemonTools 4.08 .

Even though now with the 1.2 official patch I gotta use the dvd again, I admit I am thankful ubisoft released that patch. Coz before it I was getting horrible fps at times, and that was with the gfx settings on medium. Now all settings are at max, including high detailed ocean ripples, and the fps are superb, as all my other games are. So this hasn't been a total disaster. :)

How are you getting the maxi image to work?

Using latest Daemon tools, and latest YASU, thats it !

Updated Hatred file out now, and I hope all issues have been solved now :)
