Lifting sounds out of THPS8

I've been trying to extract a bunch of the in-game noises from this, but can only get so far. I managed to use ExPERT to get the VAG files out of the pack on the disc, but I'm having trouble converting them to WAV. I've been trying MFAudio, PSXSND and PSound to try to get it done but they don't seem to work right. Sometimes the files are not recognised as correct VAG files, and a couple that I managed to convert don't sound like expected! Anyone able to help me out?

Just do the tricks yourself and tape a mic to your deck. Thats how I recorded cess slide noises and ollie pop noises.

That's assuming I'm only after the skate noises. I'm wanting a lot more of the sounds on there, there's some wicked sound effects and strange noises that would be great to sonically mangle and put into some tunes!
