I'm currently working on backupping all my ps2 games, and I see that my ps2 have problems on the DVD-games, so now I've decided that I can rip the music and/or videos of the dvd's, so they are able to fit on a cd-r. I don't know if it is difficult to do this, or if it's just a few games this works for, but I want to try.

Now, the first game I wanted to backup were WRC: evolved, I downloaded the ripping guide from this site, but enqountered a problem when looking for the music files. There were no large files, except a file called DVD.dat, at 3.40 GB, I'm wondering, does this mean that it's impossible to remove music and video, or can anyone tell me a good way to do this. I can't open the file anywhere, so would really appreciate some help here.

To be honest mate, it'll be easier to either tweak the DVD Pot on your laser or get it outright replaced by a pro... DVD Ripping really isn't worth it any more and you'll be lucky to find tut's on such things for newer games. :(

Ok, but how would I tweak the DVD pot? Is it expensive to get a pro to change it for me?
