Eragon plz help

When I start a new game, after the first intro the screen goes black...
I've use the secuRom 7 but it just keep happening...
Please help...

same happens without using anti blacklist tools and the original cd/dvd?
more details generally help, if it gets to the intro, the issue is not with securom most likely..
