Hi,

Has anyone ever received this message whilst copying with Nero 7:

'There is not enough space for the recording process'
'There are 4071MB available for temporary files in the folder 'c:\', but the recording process will need approximately need 4567MB'

Any ideas how to fix this?

yeh, as it states, free up some space on the c:\ drive, as thats where nero makes the temporary data it burns to disk...

4071 mb free, needs 4567 mb to actually be able to work... totally logical.. you're about 500mb 'short' of what it requires

so either free up some space or tell nero to use another drive for temp data...

Or the temp directory, as configured in Nero, really points to C:\ (the root directory; a very bad idea!) and there are already too many files there (also a very bad idea!). (Hmmm, should be a problem on FAT16 drives only; there's no limit for the number of root directory entries on FAT32 and NTFS drives...)

actually, good point joe... if the temp file is 1 big file then fat32 might not be able to handle it either... didnt think of that :)

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Actually realised I had ridiculously small storage space left on my C:\ drive after posting.

Cheers for replying! :)
