You cannot make the game work with or without a crack? Also, what is the error message. (Have you read the forum FAQ for information on how to report problems properly? No. Then do it now!)

everything works fine on v1.0 and v1.04 however v1.05a gives the following error Bitte legen sie die sc2 CD ein.. I think its asking for a CD which the game didnt come with as it was downloaded and elicensed

(Yes, this message means "Please, insert the SC2 CD.")

I don't understand why you need a crack: if the game is eLicensed then you have no CD/DVD to break. there's no point in making the game work without a CD/DVD as it already works without one. Or am I missing something? (Also, read forum rule #1; "digital download" games are explicitly mentioned.)

Not sure if this breaks the rules on digital downloads but SC requires an active internet connection which is expensive on dialup and i only have available half the time as well v1.04 fixed this but 1.05a original work with an internet connection but the crack errors with or without a connection

I think your main problem was this.

You installed a patch for the retail instead of the elicensed version.

The NOCD posted at GCW is for the German version.

Thanks Dabhand, downloaded the CD version and it all works fine now. easier to get the pirate working than the original !!

Okay, it's getting suspicious... If you downloaded the "digital download" version then you shouldn't have gotten support on this forum at all because of forum rule #1. If you downloaded (a pirated copy of) the retail (CD/DVD) version then you should have been banned right away... guess what... because of forum rule #1.
