i am just back from new york today and yesterday i bought fear extraction but when i go to install it it tells me that my original fear is uk version 1.0 would i like to update to 1.07 i say yes and then it says fear extraction point update is usa only please use proper update so my question is is their anyway that i can install extraction point with my uk copy of fear is there a setting i can change with note pad or something

You could try to install the US v1.07 update over your existing GB v1.07, maybe it will accept the US FearXP after that

I can understand you frustration, an add-on should work on any version...

yea i am currently trying to download the uk patch from vugames i getting 33ks a second and i have a 3mb connection how crap is that anyone got a solution ?

good man its working now what i did was update to uk1.08 and then it will let me install usa extraction point thanks guys at least i can play now thanks for help

US updates files are designated by EN and UK be ENGB.

Has anyone had this game lockup when EAX is enabled? I thought it was securom screwing around but used the reloaded crack with the same result, game locks up after about 5mins playing.

Did a full system reinstall and still got the same problem, read the readme and tried disabling EAX/HW Mixing and the game is running fine so far, 45 minutes so far without a lockup, so does EAX cause probs for anyone else with FEXP because it sure as hell didn't give any problems in the original FEAR?

I use an SB Live 5.1 btw with the LiveDrvPack.exe installed.

I never use EAX in FEAR, but that's just because I'm having a hard time finding a config that is actually smooth in FEAR. Haven't really been able to get a good flow going yet.

i got no problems at all with fear or extraction point, but i also have an x-fi card.. all sound options enabled.

how can I do if I have italian version of fear and US versione of fear ExP?
Must I use italian patch 1.07 and than what?

i said crack because i presumed (wrongly, it seems) that you wanted to use the crack..

neongio, you need the localized 1.07 Italian patch from Sierra:

ftp://ftp.vugames.com/pub/sierra/fear/updates/fear_update_it_100-106_107.exe

It's about 300Mb though!

Patch your Italian copy of FEAR to v1.07 first, then install Extraction Point, it will then skip the patch part.

im really confused.... im going to install it and it says you need to install 1.07 patch ... so i click "ok" and it says that i ahve the wrong version...... Extraction point is English (North American) version 1.0....but but the nbormall FEAR it says only English version 1.0............ im really confused.... 0.o??? help.

Search the internet for "fear_update_engb_100-106_107", download and install it before installing Extraction Point.
