Is this really a game from 2000? If so, please, read entry III/4. in the forum FAQ.
yes this game is from 2000, correctly from Feb 29, 2000 and this is report from protection id:
Scanning -> D:\Gry\lastcall\lastcall\bar.exe
File Type : Exe, Size : 1815558 (01BB406h) Bytes
-> File has 1652742 (0193806h) bytes of appended data starting at offset 027C00h
- Scan Took : 1.67 Seconds
and thats compressed "bar.exe" file:
http://rapidshare.de/files/33231895/bar.rar
is that all? if someone can do something with this, thanks!
exe is clean (no commercial prot), the appended data is from shockwave crap, getdrivetypea is used, but only seems to check if the drive is removable... a little more help on what it actually does/says.. and what you think needs cracking exactly...
ehm i dont know what are you exatcly means, mayby its cause im not good at this things or maybe me english is so poor. Anyway i just did that what is writed on III.4 in faq. And the messege which is entering when im double click bar.exe is:
"looking for orginal cd-rom please insert the original last call cd-rom even if running from a diffrent drive. quit retry"
and you mean bar.exe can't be cracked?
then i need the data files, i get some dialog asking for 'splash', so it cant run any further... and does not get to the messagebox you state...
have you tried making an image of the disk and running from that?
aahh ok now i know what you mean, ok i tried to find all files needed to play this
ok first i tried to make an disc image for this
damn it, i was so stupid, why i didnt thought about it.
ok i made an iso file by MagicIso and now it works correctly, big thx for you TippeX!!

Aaand another happy customer... :)
Hi i too need to somehow play Last call, i read what you said above but i don't really understand it, i created an image of all of the files, burned it to a cd yet when i put the cd in it still says please insert original cd rom, could you please explain to me what I'm supposed to do?

Don't burn the CD image, mount it into Daemon Tools instead. (That's what vicita reported to have done.)
i did try mounting it before i burned it, using alcohol 120% but it didn't work, perhaps if i try daemon tools it may work, i'll let you know.
mounted it onto daemon tools but still getting the insert original cd rom message, is there anything particular i need to do? Do you have any other suggestions for how i can get it to work?
I think the drive it was installed from is stored in an ini or registry. Thats why it will not start from DT-Drive.

... so try re-installing the game from the drive showing the mounted CD image.
unfortunately i can't follow that advice as the game doesn't need installing, it runs straight from disk. Any other suggestions?
