Hey, I have a problem with the game... The crack simply doesn't work here... I get the following error message:
"Aplication not inicialized correctly (0xc0000018). Click 'OK' to finish execution"
Well, my windows is not in english so I'm not sure if my translation of the error is ok :D
Does anyone know if there are any differences between the versions of the game?
And before someone asks, yes, the game runs fine with the disk on the drive, I have already finished it :)

(Wrong forum, moved.)
0xc0000018 0x01e70001 NT_STATUS_CONFLICTING_ADDRESSES
generally though that error is device driver layer... shouldn't really happen in ring 3
or alternatively.. take the low 16 bits, convert to decimal and use net helpmsg
C:\>net helpmsg 24
The program issued a command but the command length is incorrect.
either way.. doesnt sound good heh

Well, I don't understand a word of what you said :p
I downloaded one of the mini images and it's working fine with it too, so original disk is fine and mini images too, the problem only happens when using the crack (both reloaded version only and reloaded version patched with the no-dvd).
But since I can backup my copy of the game using one of the mini images, using daemon tools instead of an old and simple fixed exe is just a minor nuisance :D
Anyway, I was just curious to know why the crack doesn't work here, if it's something related to different versions of the game or a specific problem in my pc...

There is so much that could be the cause of it. There are probably not 2 pc's in the world that are 100% alike (ok maybe there are, but you get my point). It's very hard to make games that are 100% compatible with all pc's. I'd blame this on bad luck. Maybe the crack is corrupt too, but since I haven't heard anything I guess it's not.
Have you run through your system for viruses etc?

Well, I get exactly the same error.
With the Mini-Image it's working fine. I'm sure the problem is the Crack, maybe it's incompatible with German Windows or it's a Service Pack problem (I've got SP1).
So if anyone knows the reason... I would be grateful

Can you post or upload the mini-image somewhere else. Everytime I unrar it, the MDF file comes out as Corrupted hence it cannot be uncompressed. Thanks

Use the latest version of RAR. Read the forum FAQ.
Use the latest version of RAR. Read the forum FAQ.
I AM using the latest version of WinRar. The MDF inside is corrupted, already tried downloading on different computers. Also tried every mirror.
Corrupted file corresponds to:
Call of Juarez [ENGLISH] No-DVD/Fixed Image #3
Compressed File: CoJMI_by_chikoss.rar (8.1 Mb)
Corrupted File inside Archive: CoJMI_by_Chikoss.MDF
@ Kooey
The Archive is corrupted... had not seen this and somehow it was reported as being a valid archive... weird
I'll try to get it again, if I got an email of the uploader
else use the other images which should also work!

Does this error message occur when you're using the original DVD and no crack? As for mini images, see GameCopyWorld.com, the parent site of this forum.
Hi

Read the forum rules and buy your own copy. Next time you'll be banned for this!

ring 3 = user space in windows.. ring 0 is driver layer
net helpmsg 24
simply run the command prompt (command.com on operating systems < 2k, or cmd.exe on higher operating systems)
and type in
net helpmsg 24
simple as that

It seems that that terrain.mat file is corrupted. Re-install the game and try again, with and without a crack. What happens? Read the forum FAQ for more ideas.

Well, then contact the publisher and ask for help; it's their job to do.

So eh... this is not exactly on the subject, but I don't want to start a new thread. The RELOADED crack doesn't skip the the DVD-check, so to play without the disc, we have to either apply the crackfix or use IND's crack.
Both seem to be the same thou, as both occasionally asks for DVD in-game at the menu. Still works, but is there any way around this?
