Well not at this time. The best chance to get a new crack, is to wait for the coming Addon, where likely a new crack is seeing the world.

What's that Addon you talk about, may I know?

Empire at War: Forces of corruption is the addon which likely be released this Fall/Autumn.
If you want 1.5 version without cd, play with asr.
erm asr is not a no-cd solution, he'll still have to mount an image... what he was asking for i think was a no-cd cracked exe, of which there is not one...

If anybody have any solution for runnig the game with patch 1.5, please tell me how!
The 1.4-er crack is out of gamecopyworld.(v1.04).
This is also an image.
It can bei a crack or an image, but it must work with version 1.5!;)
If anybody have any solution for runnig the game with patch 1.5, please tell me how!
Use your original disc !!!

Ownd!!

can you use ASR w. the org discs in the drive? i ask because i've a pretty fracked-up problem, neither lucasarts (cant), nor SECUROM (wont) help me. my EAW (originally bought) ceased to work properly...even after MONTHS of playing fine. uninstall/reinstall didnt work, even of completely wiping out secuROM v7 out of the system (serices/files/registry).
@
hmm, well with the original disk, it should work... perhaps you've messed up something in the registry.. what error do you get?
did you try other anti blacklist programs..? perhaps secufix from the curerom site could help...
kinda need more info before i can help m8

@atlana: Try installing the game on another PC (friend, school, workplace, whatever ;)). If it works, then you will, at least, know that your original disc is fine and it is your PC that isn't.
(By the way, the command 'move "establishment" >NUL' does not make much sense: It sends an error message, about a non-existing file, to the NUL device. ;))

secufix ??? i googled for that name, but nothing popped up (maybe i'm blind)
ok, here's the gist (full version here: http://www.ultimate-eaw.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,79/topic,589.0)
of my problem:
i've EAW since it came out (even the Special Ed version w. the fancy litle plastic eathstar ;) ).
Everything worked peachy for months. about 2 weeks ago, i found that Ultimate EAW mode (under the URL above), a nice, canon-compliant Mod. It dosent make changes to the exec/DLL's at all, it only adds XML, LUA-scripts and 3D-art/soundFX files and starts it up w. a command-switch like "\\Empire at War\GameData\sweaw.exe" MODPATH=Mods\UEAW_v3_2_2" thats it. The mod ran fine, no crashes no glitches - even worked fine w. the trainer (ya, i know, i cheat :P)
last FRI it just quit starting up via the usual desktop-shortcut, then i worked around that (being lazy as i am) and i started it via CMD/RUN-line. Worked about two times.
since then, nada, nichts, nothing!
Not even a fracking error-code/-msg! If the disc is NOT in the drive it was installed from, i get the usual error "ENTER DISC - RETRY/CANCEL". If the disc is in the drive, the mouse-cursor changes for ~500ms to "SYSTEM OCCUPIED" (which is arrow w. sandclock, opposed to SYSTEM BUSY for sandclock-only display) and thats it. Not even the CPU-load jumps beyond 20%.
So i uninstall the UEAW-mod. Zero results
So i uninstall the whole EAW, reinstall EAW, apply lastest patch (v1.05) reinstall mod. Zero results.
uninstall everything again, reinstall just EAW+patches. Zero results.
knowing SOME of the computer junk, it appeared to me that SecuROM v7 must be screwing up SOMEWHERE, since the disc authentication dosent kick in since the drive dosent spin-up to try to find the disc!
Even the registry entries of the game are fine/correct (path, installed Y/N, CD-path, installed-path, patch-versioning)
since it was (Murphy again) long "LaborDay weekend" in the USA, i had to wait till TUE.
So am calling LucasArts support-line......[mirror-mirror on the wall who waited the longest of them all?]......oh miracle, am NOT talking to "Joe" in Bangladesh, India - a real american :D (sorry, couldnt resist).
after a long forth and back, me actually telling HIM how the games "inner workings" proceeds in the startup, checking w. registry entries, and teaching him a thing or two about SecuROM's "pain-in-my-ass functions", and mutually realizing that i do NOT have the "GENERATE REPORT"option have in the context-menu (rightclick) of the EAW-main exec; he plainly states that he cant help me, since LucasArts JUST *licences* their technology from SecuRom corp. and that i'm suppose to call them, and then he wished me happily a great day since he finally found a way to get rid of me, since he couldnt help me.
So am calling SecuROM corp...voicebox..."leave email and state your problem" - frack you! i think....
so am digging through my box myself. Finding out that securom is a service. Strangely the service is "off" (manual + not started) manually starting fails w. "no device or servicess associated/attached to this service" even though the USSecuACCESS7.exe in the \\win\system32\ dir was present.
Killing then the service w. "SC DELETE MYACCESS7" command (yes, i run XPpro+SP2), making sure its gone by checking device-manager via "set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1", and via "tasklist /svc" command.
then killing out the respective drivers out of the HKCR\exefile\shellex in the registry (namely the cmdlineext0X.dll entries and associated files).
DAEMON and my KASPERSKY A/V had been temporarily turned off to get it started up.
but NADA still!!!
I also tried the KRKsecurom loader v1.2 (asr.exe -r Games\Main.exe) but still nothing.
*at end of my wisdom*
any ideas?
and no, my box is 100% virus-free. other games (like CivCity ROME, or City of Villains or SPELLFORCE 2 to name a couple modern ones) run perfectly fine.
cheers
@
PS: Joe forster: like my tag-line "move *.COM; *.GOV >NUL" better now ? ;) it was/is ment about to get rid of all the "establishments" in corporate/govermental means that (sort of) screw us over as it's going on today (keywords AT&T+NSA, Bush+eavesdropping, Katrina+FEMA and more). :)
hmm okaay, so only the asr/alkisecurom ran, that doesnt mess with the registry afaik, no securom disk check though points to other things... yet no messageboxes appear from securom... that is indeed odd, as i've never encountered securom doing a 'silent exit' (it only does that if you are already running a securom'd process)..
best guess i could say is to try booting into safemode, then try running the exe, if it gets to the cdcheck etc.. then the problem is with the system (some driver, something...) if not, then the problem could be securom.. either way ... try emailing the securom support instead of voicemail... email wont cost as much and you'll probably have better success
secufix is on the curerom site... www.curerom.net last time i checked
you can make the generate report thing appear again i think if you run the exe again (it will then add in the shell components)
TippeX;
ok, done as you suggested w. the safemode. This is what happened
after trying to run the EAW in SAFEMODE i get a funky-looking mousecursor (looks like a quarter of a grey disc w. a black orbiting bar around it) it DOES start up but then i get bitched out (error msg) about - naturally in SAFEMODE - "D3D surface renderer not available" and - naturally again - it quits on me.
So that tells me that SOMETHING is blocking/preventing the SECUROM disc-check.
I rebooted into my usual user-account (normal winXP mode), and try to start EAW up, but still no results.
I DID got indeed the "LAUNCH ANALYSIS" context menu back, which i still cannot run in regular winXP mode, only in SAFE MODE, which generated the "AnalysisLog.sr0" 148KB file in C-Root.
For shits and giggles i bought the game "Sword of the stars" (being the RTS fan, and knowing it's using secuROM v7 too) installed it, tried to run it and - NADA/NOTHING - too, but SotS crashed out w. a FATAL ERROR msg-screen (not a BSoD)
i also made a 2ndary useraccount w. admin-rights, in hope that the USER-portion of the registry might be screwed over, but to no avail/effect. Same Problem.
I trieds to run the SECUROM cleaners from CUREROM.COM (namely CUREREG and CURESECUROM). CURESECUROM found some files/entries and told me that it cleaned them out, and CUREREG could not find any "illegally locked/manipulated" registry entries.
3 Questions:
1:) does anybody know whats in the "AnalysisLog.sr0" file ? looks awfully encrypted that stuff (like an assembler/binary file)
2:) being SECUROM a "generic" protectionsystem, there must be a separate "generic installer"-package of SecuROM v7, or not? since in the game's exec's keys/signatures determine what suppose to be on the relevant game-disc's.
Where can i find such generic installer?
3:) could it be, that KASPERSKY Anti-virus, having the feature of PROACTIVE DEFENSE (which includes "Application Activity Analyzer",""Registry Guard","Application Integrity Control (MD5)" and other proactive features) could block the execution/installation of SecuRom v7 ?
to 3 i've to add that i did NOT had the issue w. Kaspersky before in those game-protection scheme regards. But who knows - since if an executable/registrypart got changed, that it either complains/asks about it what to do about it, or blocks it.
But since a lot of games reserving the D3D-render-surface of the desktop for itself, i had occasionally the issues that after patching a game, that Kaspersky BLOCKS the processes, UNTIL the question "executable X has been changed - ALLOW/TERMINATE?", which freezes/crashes the game, but i never get the chance to "allow" the changed game's executable, since the game dosent allow Kaspersky's question-popup to be displayed.
And since we all here know that game-patches contain silent protection-scheme updates (as it happenes for example w. EAW v1.04) maybe something got screwed-up there?
any takers on this tough nut? :)
thx-a-thon in advanced

3 Questions:

yep im sure the securom people do, tried contacting them?

no such public tool exists, what you're asking about is really a crack tool yep?
if the program is crashing before the cd icon appears then your system is probably corrupt or some registry hooker etc is causing the exit..
again, in such a case, being a legit owner the securom support (never used it myself tho) might be able to help, after all you did buy the game so why not use the support?
3:) could it be, that KASPERSKY Anti-virus, having the feature of PROACTIVE DEFENSE (which includes "Application Activity Analyzer",""Registry Guard","Application Integrity Control (MD5)" and other proactive features) could block the execution/installation of SecuRom v7 ?
possibly, try disabling some apps, try on a different pc etc.. though from what i read, the problem really sounds like its with your system and not securom
if the sr0 works then securom works, if it doesnt work in usermode then something in non safemode is blocking it...
And since we all here know that game-patches contain silent protection-scheme updates (as it happenes for example w. EAW v1.04) maybe something got screwed-up there?

@
problem is noone else has experienced this issue, so really your only hope is the securom support, as they might be able to read that sr0 and tell you the issue or give you a fix...
really i think thats your best option m8
TippeX
thx for the quick reply,
yes i do own the games for real, :D but i'm a so called "INFOSEC Consultant", and there's some stuff on my box that my clients consider PRIVATE, that i've for backup purposes (after all my box has almost 4 TB's in total HDD space) and before i send the report off to SECUROM, i'd like to knows whats inside it.
w. #2 i asked, if a "separate SecuROM v7 installation package" exist, one that does NOT require to install a/the game that came with it, one that "brutally overwrites/sets straight" what could be messed-up in the registry/services/devices.
something like the official STARFORCE-remover and/or something that does it the other way by "enforcing a clean re-installation" of the dreaded protection-scheme.
Q: is it legit when i OWN a game (w. disc and evreything) to use a 3rd-party patch to circumvent the protectionscheme (since it fucks up so much apparently, according to the internet).
cheers
@
hmm really depends on the eula... (using 3rd party soft etc)
the dialog from the launch config states that its like msinfo32, so well i guess that holds your answer...
well I had a big forth-n-back "support battle" going on w. securom themselves - even to the point they sent me a SWEAW.EXE that was almost a meg smaller than the retail-SWEAW.EXE (i wondre what they strippedand you would NOT believe it! Microsoft released a patch that fortified the KERNEL32.DLL against some possible remote-control exploits, and locked-out/booted out securom's protection- scheme!!!
it's the security-patch Windows update KB917422 - IF you uninstall it, the securom v7 affected games like SW EMPIRES AT WAR and the scifi-rts SWORD OF THE STARS will work again - i dont know which else games are affected, but i can think of a bigger number than just these two.
spread the word. securom fracked it up - again! :D
cheers
@
Is that EXE they sent you still Securom protected? Would be nice if it wasn't :)
I had the same problem with the Knights of Honor v1.03 crack, it won't work with KB917422 installed due to the imports being badly rebuilt, probably under the original kernel32 from SP2! Removing that update lets it run again!
well you can check for yourself, and DL it directly from here
http://www.securom.com/support/customers/lucasarts/SWEAW_t129/sweaw.zip
(if they killed the link already let me know, and we'll find another way)
for all you patchers out there have it at it - maybe you guys find something more out by comparing those execs directly (am not a coder).
it's about 1200KBytes less than the retail-exec...i do NOT think that it's being entirely removed, maybe they just got rid of the encryption-wrapper of the exec? But am not a pro when it comes to game-exec's patchings.
enjoy the fun :D
cheers
pid reports (couldn't you have done this yourself?)
Scanning -> G:\SWEAW.exe
File Type : Exe, Size : 11587584 (0B0D000h) Bytes
-> Suspicious MZ Header..
[!] SecuROM Detected - Version 7.24.0006
[!] Possible CD/DVD-Key or Serial Check -> cdkey
- Scan Took : 1.172 Seconds
thus, its still protected.. size vs. original size doesnt really matter, considering compression etc is used...
so i doubt anything is removed.. they probably just gave you a new wrapped exe with a better version.. check the version number of your original and see...
LOL that .exe they sent u was the original .exe version 1.0, so I dont see what diffrence it made after you updated it to version 1.5...
I know I am a bit late, but is there a patch for 1.5 now? I am not going to bother to reinstall if there isn't since I'll be buying the exp pack next month anyway. Oh well, probably shouldn't have done a automatic update after installing... ;)
Can't say I care too much, have over 10 games to play currently! :D

Sure, I'll test it out soon, though I assumed only the creator of the crack could upload it. Hence, why I still haven't uploaded the one I found *that works* for Freespace 2 v.1.20... ;)

Upload EVERYTHING you find useful! Look, crackers don't visit either this forum or GCW; it is obvious that it is users who upload cracks - and only a few "self-made" crackers - there...
Even though it's not a 'crack' I guess some people would use it though in the abscence of anything else for v1.05!
Even though it's not a 'crack' I guess some people would use it though in the abscence of anything else for v1.05!
Might as well just make your own image and use that.
Some people don't know how or don't want the hassle of doing it themselves hence mini images being available from people who do know and don't mind the hassle :)
Using images to run the games I find, always comes back to haunt you, the publishers make sure of that. Really, it's too much a hassle using virtual drives when they end up crapping out your other programs in the end, which is why I stick with No-CD patches...
As for Mini-Images, I don't know how to use them, but using full Images was too much a pain, so I haven't bothered to try.
Anyway, will upload the Freespace 2 crack soon. Not that anyone else appears to be playing anymore! :D

just wanna let u know that both games r working with the actual patches.
Empire at War and - in version 1.05
EAW: Forces of Corruption - in version 1.1
just use for boot games the mini images from GCW in combination of Daemon Tools - recent version - (the one created by me 4 EAW Maingame - don't care about the version information on gcw) and the other one 4 EAW: FOC
and use YASU 1.07 to avoid blacklisting of DT. don't know if it's working 4 you because i use an x64 OS (xp x64).
oh - and 4 EAW: FOC DO NOT USE THE LAUNCHER - start the game directly about the main executable.
I have EaW in that nifty Best of StarWars collection from LucasArts and the damn game won't start. As in, it installs everything as it should and then when I click on start or play or whatever you wanna call it nothing happens. The other games in the collection KotoR, Republic Commando, etc all start and work just fine, all except for EaW.
I can only assume that it is due to SecuRom or whatever copyprotection it uses, finding Alcohol on my system. Right? Does anyone know anything more? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
As usual, the copyprotection prevents legally bought copies from working and piratted copies to work just beautifully.
Copyprotection developers don't care whether you legally use Virtual Drives or Copy Programs, they just like dictating what 'THEY' think you should not be using on 'YOUR' computer!
Take the damn game back and get a refund, and tell the sales assistant in the strongest possible terms WHY you are returning it. Does the EULA or anywhere in the manual/box specifically say it will not run with Virtual Drives or Copy Programs and that it uses on disc Copy Protection, if not then take it back for a refund!

cracks have gone up shit creek since nearly all the good cracker groups got busted
only good one left is deviance. and there a pretty small group i think.
11 cracker groups got done
RiSCISO
Myth
TDA
LND
Goodfellaz
Hoodlum
Vengeance
Centropy
Wasted Time
Paranoid
Corrupt
Gamerz
AdmitONE
Hellbound
KGS
BBX
KHG
NOX
NFR
CDZ
TUN
BHP
hoodlum, vengeance, paranoid, corrupt, hellhound
all damn good protection crackers
to my knowledge to others where where keygen makers and did minor protection cracks
so as you can see where now been set back for years and it'll take agers before cracker group get the skills needed to crack protections.
Nightmare

What about Reloaded?
Greets
not all those group cracked stuff.
Also active groups:
new razor1911, reloaded, vitality and new flt
Deviance is dead.
wolfsrain
18-03-2007, 11:24
I'dd add at the old cracking teams: Paradigm.
Man, I miss the DoxPacks. Most of the new groups seems to be unable to make a proper crack. Even Reloaded and Vitality are failing often lately. The new Razor1911 is still far from old days. Fairlight is just staying low. So I'd say that the cracking scene is pretty much busted compared to what was happening a few years ago.
Joe Forster/STA
18-03-2007, 11:45
A few years ago even I could crack games... ;) It's not busting cracker groups, it's rather copy protections having gotten incomparably more sophisticated and thus a lot less people being able to crack them.
Alien Firefox

reloaded wasn't mentioned because they aint been busted
ok maybe i shoulda mentioned them instead of deviance
as i think deviance freaked out when hoodlum got done

So I'm going to assume there's no 1.5 cracks out? Lame.
I recently seemed to lost my damned CD for the game, I've searched the entire living room, my own room, and the motorhome (where the computers are at), nothing! It aint anywhere! (And no, I aint buying another one, so shut it!). *sigh* I was pretty pissed the last few days, I "thought" I'd find it, but I can't. Wish they'd crack 1.5 though...I got a 1.2 crack, works fine, but I can't play any custom maps. Kinda sucks, but oh well.
Richard.
@Richardc269
I recently seemed to lost my damned CD for the game, ..............(And no, I aint buying another one, so shut it!).
Before you go telling me to 'shut it' may I suggest you take the time to read our Forum Rules! (http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=54193)
Forum Rule #1:
Do not discuss warez! Do not ask where to download illegal copies of PC/console games or how to make them work. Warez means not having the original CD/DVD, for reasons including but not limited to:
not having as many separately purchased original CD's/DVD's as the number of computers the game is played on (see the EULA!);
the original CD/DVD having been lost, damaged or unusable for any reason (kids, pets, damaged CD/DVD drive etc.);
the original CD/DVD being the wrong version, language or region (EU/UK/US/etc.);
the original CD/DVD having been rented from a shop, borrowed from someone, lent to someone, or left at another place;
having no compatible or properly working CD/DVD drive or having no CD/DVD drive at all.
If the CD/DVD is lost, damaged, wrong language etc., contact the publisher and they will send you a replacement, usually for a small fee. Note that not even having a working original CD/DVD allows you to download a pirated copy of the same game from the Internet!

why that crack is not work(Star Wars Empire at War)
OK 5 time my crack workd but now its a mess:mad:
I followed these instructions to the letter and I'm still asked to insert original disk instead of backup:
Instructions:
1] Install the game and apply the Update v1.05.
2] Get the latest version of Daemon Tools (v4.08HE), mount the Mini-Image FPS_EAW1.mds) and enable all emulation options in Daemon Tools.
3] Download the latest version of YASU (v1.07) and execute it. Press Ok.
4] Play the game, have fun and...
what is the problem, these instructions along with mini-image are from here -

yasu is useless who ever thinks it works needs shootin
yasu is useless who ever thinks it works needs shootin
well then, it would have been nice to write an alternative to solve this problem instead of useless comment that doesn't help me one bit.
I don't get it. If the instructions are obviously bogus why aren't they removed from here-
http://www.gamecopyworld.com/
@uniks
yasu is useless who ever thinks it works needs shootin
That is only Alien Firefox's own opinion!! Its not necassarily correct.
Yasu works for most but it doesnt work for some, its like anything to do with computers, they are all different.
Many people have reported Yasu works fine, but what works for some does not always work for others.
Sorry I dont have another solution for you right now. ;)
In the case of this game, I'll stick with the 1.2 version. That said, before buying the expansion pack, does anyone know whether it does an automatic/forced update when installing it? Won't be buying it if I can't use EAW1.2. Well, at least until there's a new crack that allows use with the later patches.
Really, I didn't pay good money for this game just to not even play it because of these stupid hassles. I own a legit copy, that should be enough, guess it's not. Man, the consumer is really taking it up the butt these days in regards to everything...
The companies need to make their minds up, either let us use NOCD patches or make backups. Most I know if not given one of the two options just won't be buying their crap anymore if it gets that bad. Would suit them right if we did however, the game companies have taken us for granted one too many times.
Sheesh, I am already only buying games once they are less than $30, would hate to stop buying them all together, but will if pushed much longer! Their loss since I have way too many games to begin with... :D
I managed to play the 1.05 updated version using CureROM, but when I finished playing, later I coudn't get it to work again, after half hour of trying it worked again but now when I started it again it doesn't work at all no matter how many times I try it.
it always states some "emulation" error.
is there some explanation to this, I thought that the whole point of digital technology is it's predictability when you don't change anything from the last time something worked?!
Really, I didn't pay good money for this game just to not even play it because of these stupid hassles. I own a legit copy, that should be enough, guess it's not. Man, the consumer is really taking it up the butt these days in regards to everything...
How are you "taking it up the butt"?
I'm sorry, but I don't understand why it's so much of a hassle to just put the CD in and play it? Just because of that, you don't play a game that you supposedly paid "good money" for?
None of us like having to put the CD in to play every time, but it's not that much of a hassle if there is no working crack.
Your opinion, not mine! ;)
I paid my hard earned money for it and with how the games these days do full installs, I shouldn't have to have my disc drives die on me because of overuse and the game companies being paranoid. Sheesh, there are many better ways to validate one's copy and they choose the ones that are a hassle for their legit customers. Very smart, not...
Either way, we are taking it but good with how every legal right we have is being taken away because they want to, legally or not. Backups, anyone? If that is not being screwed over what do you call it? Anyway, I for one am not getting on my knees to service anyone let alone these game companies. That's just my 2 cents however, anyone else can feel free to do so if they can't wait to play it though. :D
Oh well, it's not that big of a deal, there's too many more important things to worry about over this. It's just frustrating, is all!
