Since Grumpy closed my thread without even thinking he might be wrong, I'll give an example here:

Postal 2 - one level, time limit demo - after removing the time limit, this is still a single-level demo.

Alien Shooter 2 is not shareware, trialware or such. It's a single-levelled demo with a time-limit nuisance added to it. After removing the time limit, this would still be a single-level demo! Is removing a time limit in this particular case, theft? I don't believe so. What do YOU guys think?

I'm sorry but you don't have the right to override the decisions of the developer and the publisher when you received that demo for free. If they "protected" the demo twice - with a limitation in both the number of levels and the length of time you can play -, well, 1) accept it, 2) delete it, 3) complain about it at the right support forum/team.
