Prince of Persia WW gamepad problems

okay, so i get Prince of Persia Warrior within (well, off a torrent), i go to play it, and BAM! my gamepad doesnt work. Im using a Logitech dual action controller, which should be supported, yet for some reason, the game doesnt seem to wanna let it work. any suggestions?
