HELP! I thought i would try this anyway, despite the fact that it was only confirmed to work with version 5, i assumed that since vxworks was on version 6 as well that it wouldnt have been a problem.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Vxworkskiller

I sucessfully flashed the vxworkskiller.bin to my router, but i really dont know how to tftp the dd-wrt.v23_micro_generic.bin to my router. what i attempted to do (but failed) was open command prompt, type in "TFTP -i 192.168.1.245 PUT C:/dd-wrt.v23_micro_generic.bin"

It acts like its trying to do so (for about a minute) then tells me timeout.....

My router now only lets me use the wired connection...

please tell me what i am doing wrong.. thanks very much!

Why would you want to flash your router with an unsupported bios?

Because the hacked one makes it a lot better with Linux support, more settings and generally better performance and protection. Thats why anyone would want to do it.

Trying a v5 version on the v6 is not such a good move though as the software implentation has changed and linksys have implented a protection against flashing to a hacked version.
