View Full Version : What is my PS2 doing???

I have an older PS2 not the slim one. I was playing a game today and it sounded like it was having a hard time reading the DVD...all the sudden it locked up on me and would not start back up.

I took it apart and when I power it on the laser blinks on and off and the disk does not spin.

Do I need a new laser??? Are they hard to replace?

Send the console to Spedmetal at www.norcalmods.com. Its best to let a profesional install the laser so that its set correctly. If not it will just burn up again.

Spedmetal is one of the best installers in the States so needless to say he's very busy. Have a little patience. I'm sure spedmetal will return your email.

Dude there is nuthin wrong wid ur ps2..The same happened with mine..it just needs a bit of cleanin and service...getit done from a pro perhaps but it'll work and will be cheaper.....gud luck with ur ps2!!
