Trying to help out a friend with a modchip choice and install but he's in the UK and I'm here in the states and I don't know of the matrix infinity/crystal resellers and the chip installers over there. I don't know how many of the installers in the UIS are updated and still provide services. If he was here in the states I could steer him in the right direction but I'm at a loss at what to tell him. (I did convince him to stay away from swap magic crap so that part is successful :D Please don't take offense from that if you swear by the swap magic gimic *cough* I mean product.) Just askin for some guidance from my peeps here at FF. Thanks.

Good advice on suggesting a Modchip over the Swap magic. No one should be offended by this, The Swap magic disc do work but are proven not to be the best solution for playing bakups :)

Thanks for the replys. Ya Charlie set me straight back in 2002 on what to do. I was quite the noob back in the day. But I'm just trying to pass it on to someone else. Charlie was patient with me and I will be the same. He's gonna tell me exactly what version ps2 he has and I'll find out where exactly he's located. Thanks Lufcfan for the help. (My first backup solution was an ol' no solder R-mod, so I do know the swap magics work but like you said they are not the best solution :) )
