Hey guys, is it a dumb idea to get a solderless chip, are they good or bad?
(keep in mind I dont have a soldering iron and aren't very good at using them)

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure that there's a console shop in your neighborhood where they install modchips for an acceptable price and with some kind of guarantee...

nah, not where I live (Tasmania, Australia) I havent exactly searched around but I wouldn't know where to look, the only console store that comes to mind is EBgames. Yeah. Strange how modding your PS2 is legal here but I cant find anybody that mods them. Do you have any ideas how I would find a modder?

Yeah, solderless mods are a really bad idea (though still better than swap magic, lmfao :D  ).

For an great installer in Oz, try contacting ShadowKnyght by PM, or see his website here: http://www.cyber-mag.com/station/

He's a very reputable guy and does a top job. I'm sure he'll be able to hook you up ;)
