I don't know what to do to burn a ps2 DVD copy.

I am a complet newbie on this platform + my english sucks. I know that, so don't bother that i am not reading forum for previous threards, cause the theme I am gonna to ask was answered billion times before.:)

I recently (2 days ago) bought a ps2, with mod chip / don't ask me what kind, cause I don't know / and i became drakan ancient gates. The problem is, whenever I try to make a backup copy of the game, my ps2 won't read it.
Here is my experience (I should better say inexperience) I made an image trought Decrypter and tried to burn it. I did it with the latest DVD Decrypter, 2X Write speed and my game is still not working. I used the media Type RiDisc DVD-R 8X and Verbatim-R 16X. If i am inserting the discs into my ps2 it makes strange noises and I am not able to see anything expect the browse screen. If i enter it, it keeps reading but nothing happens. It isn't even saying I should enter a ps2 or psx title into the drive, it keeps reading for a very long time. I am using the Verbatim DVD-R media, i readed somewhere, that they are good to use for ps 2 backups. What should I do I am helpless, should I try traxdata DVD-R or should i try the +R media???
If somebody knows, please help.

I am gonna to make the question more specific.
What settings should i use if i am burning an image which i made with alcohol. I mean the Data type, write method etc. to make the stupid game work from a backup. i already wasted 3 disks.
Somebody please answer:mad:

Problem solved. My ps2 was not able to read -R media for unknown reason (perhaps older version of mod chip). Now I burned the game on Imation +R and it runs smoothly.

If it will read +R it will read -R. The -R media you tried was probably of poor quality.

when i had problems with making a changed backup of the game "Final Fight", a had to burn a ISO/UDF DVD and inserting the folders and files as the order they had in ISOBuster. in other ways, it wouldnt work.
