Well you didn't get it. He doesn't bought the game at a local store. He downloaded the game from a shop. Maybe a trial version. And those legally downloadable games have their own protection. If you want to play it after the period you have to buy special licenses or additional files. Now he wants a crack that doesn't have to pay.

Actually, just encrypted resources appended to the end of the exe I believe ;)
