But I have a burned Getting Up PS2 game and it's stops running when it's loading. I mean it starts loading and loads, loads, loads and never stops.

now I heard there are kind of patches for that ...
can yall help me ?

Perhaps, your PS2 is having really hard times reading the disc and then it actually gives up and crashes?

Try using dvd-r, Just make a direct backup from the original.

Uhm, whats direct backup ???
and is there actually a patch ? I mean why doesn't it load ? my friend says because it takes some files outta the original cd so the copy won't play ...

Get your original CD, get a DVD-R (not a DVD+R; note the hyphen rather than the plus sign), get a CD copier software (Alcohol 120%, Blindread/Blindwrite, CloneCD) and make a full copy of your original.

I think Warlock is pointing out that older CD/DVD drives, that were designed to read factory pressed CD's/DVD's only, can read DVD-R's much better than DVD+R's. As far as I remember, DVD-R's have similar optical characteristics to factory pressed DVD's than DVD+R's do. (Sorry, if I'm saying something stupid, though... :o)

so you mean I should do the same again but with DVD-R ?

Well, I don't know how you exactly made the first backup but probably yes... :)

Yeah, make a 1:1 copy of your game and burn it on dvd-r.
I used Nero 6 and I never had problems.

Is your PS2 new or old?
See the SCPH on the backside.

some details :

1. I just have one working DVD drive so I make an image first and then burn the image

2. And can it be a problem that I'm using a Swap Magic Card and not the Chip

#1, Yes. That is the correct way. Be sure "read errors" are set to abort no matter what software used. I use Alcohol.

#2, Some games do require patching if using the Swap Magic disc. You can check here (www.swapmagicfix.com) for patches
