Fear 1.04

I loaded the file "F.E.A.R. v1.04 [ENGLISH] No-DVD/Fixed EXE"

The process is 4 only a fiew seconds alive(even if the original DVD is inserted!).

Has someone used this file yet ?

I have to ask, did you apply the v1.04 update first?

The DVD inserted won't make any difference if using a NoDVD crack as the DVD checks have been removed!

I had the same problem with the crack for FEAR 1.03. Haven't tried 1.04 yet though.

Try reverting back to the last working version or similar, or maybe a reinstall is the only solution... :(

the noDVD patches for 1.03 and 1.04 worked fine for me, never had a problem with them. i have the UK DVD version von FEAR.

Yes cause the version I used before (1.01) didn't run stable.

But someone posted the file works on his Computer. =/

So it could be that it is just my shitty pc right ?

The file won't work, but curerom 2.0 Beta did the job.
So there is no need to use a crack. Which is, by the way, the best solution.

So the solution is :
Install the game.
patch to 1.04
install Curerom 2.0 Final Beta (or higher)
Download the Mini-image and mount it (I used Deamontools v3.47)
Activate all options in curerom (Blacklist, securerom,...)

Play as you
had run to the cupboard,
searched the game,
opened the case,
put the DVD into the drive,
deactivated all drive-emulators,
deinstalled the burnprograms
and finally :waited for the copyprotection to check the DVD (sometimes you need to patch your DVD-Rom firmware.)

...not funny !!!
