Is there a way to make LEGAL backups??

Hi

This may be an incredibly stupid question, but I would like to find out if there is a way I can make a legal backup of my PC game. Please bear with me - I am new to this.

Would reallllly appreciate any info.

If the laws in your country state that you have the right to create one backup or more backups of your legally purchased software then you can ONLY make legal backups (even if the EULA states otherwise)! :) As for the technical aspect of it, read the FAQ.
