Hello all, I've recently gotten the godfather game (original CD) and it works on one of my other pc's, yet it doesnt work on this one

AMD athlon 64 / 3200 +
1 GB ram
Windows xp PRofessional (sp2)
Geforce 6200
Sound blaster Audigy Gamer

Now... even with the original CD it doesn't work. I've tried doing all the no DVD cracks, I've tried the fixed image (and using things like s4dhide to hide) I've tried almost everything I could find on these forums, solution wise.

Now I went into safe mode, and clicked on the game... and it said "No sound card can be found"! which made sense, I recently installed this audigy gamer... however EVERYTHING shows that the card is working + all the software + all the trouble-shooting... yet it still crashes to desktop at the first splash screen. And whenever I go into safe mode it still gives me the sondcard problem

any ideas?

(all drivers updated... although using web aquired drivers only)

Read the game manual, the PC Games forum FAQ and contact the publisher. (Perhaps, you need to install the latest EAX driver and/or disable EAX support in the game?)

Hey, I've done everything. Contacted the publisher, seen the manual... nothing as of yet, help wise.

The only thing I haven't done is this so called "EAX" drivers.. what are those? can I download ANY eax driver for creative? or is there a specific one for my card.

Firstly go into the game and disable EAX. If the game then works then you know the problem is to do with the sound drivers.
Go to Creative's site and download the latest driver update.

I cant even ENTER the game... it just shows the EA logo. and crashes. Also I've went onto the site and downloaded the latest update... everything works, except on the game.

Is there some INDIVIDUAL eax drivers?

I cant even get into the game or anything...

Please, don't get me wrong, but unlike us, it is the damn duty of ther publisher to help you! If they don't manage to help you with making your game work, take it back to the shop and get your money back.

As for an individual EAX driver package, Grumpy already told you to download it from Creative (http://www.creative.com).
