Another problem with this game. It's the bit where you use the magic balls to open the secret doors to get the tapestries. When you exit the green room with the flowery tapestry the game crashes yet again. Is there a patch for this apparent fault? I wonder if there are any more faults yet to be revealed?
Addition
--------
The game crashes if you attempt to use the hint button after leaving the green room is what I should have said. This is annoying if you need to see where to go next.In fact I have tried loads of different places/areas of the game but no matter where you try the hint system now the game then immediately crashes.Well this is strange-I uninstalled then re-installed & put my saves back in & the hint system is working again.Dont know what the problem was but it seems ok now.I live again!!!

There is a patch, but I dont know if you got it already or not.

I had problems crashing during the moving the stairs test for becoming a mage.

But the latest patch fixed that.

I meant to say that the game crashes only if you attempt to use the hint system after leaving the green room looking for the rest of the tapestries which is a nuisance if you cant see where to go next.

Thanks DABHand for your reply anyway.

The patch fixed the stairs problem no trouble.Let me know when you get to where you have to get the tapestries if you get the same problem with the hint system crashing the game.

I finished it, I know the library puzzle you speak of.

You will come across the globe, use on a door needing one only, one room has another globe there (but the door in that room needs 2) so take that globe and leave the room removing the one you used, goto other doors, eventually you will have enough to find all of them.

Hi Dabhand
I am stuck in the planetarium now-cant seem to get the puzzle sorted prior to entering the coordinates in the telescope. I seem to have left a glass ball behind in one of the tapestry rooms.Do I need to go back for it?
Help would be appreciated.

As long as you have all 4 tapestries you will be fine.

The one which will help you is the one with the poem on it.

What you have to do is basically read the poem see which starsigns get shown and one will be left out from the poem, remember it, then using the telescope (hopefully you did the puzzle with the star, moon, sun, planet and numbers) get a line of 4 numbers in the same line on telescope, if you find the same starsign and its points you click on each point for the one left out from the poem to finish the puzzle.

This game is beginning to annoy me now.It works fine for a while then comes up with another problem. Now I have not been able to play it for 2 days because as soon as I go to play it now up pops this message after the intro
"Keepsake exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".It then wants to send a report to microsoft which of course I cant do for obvious reasons.
Any ideas on this DabHand??

I bought my PC from a friend which had XP PRO already installed. So I am worried whether it's a legitimate version or not. That's why I would rather not send an error report.

He should've given you the original install CD, along with that holographic genuine certificate whatever paper and, preferably, the original packaging and a proof of purchase (bill), too. Without these, I don't think it can be considered as legal, even if it has been installed from a legally bought original...
