Hi, I have a pack of .avi videos/movies and i want to put them on a DVD-R/DVD+R cd. In what video format should I convert my .avi files so that it can be readble on a dvd player using data dvd burning (not video dvd). Thanks in advance and GOD bless :)

I don't quite understand... "not video dvd"? You mean, you don't want to convert them into DVD format? Well, then open an empty data DVD compilation in your favorite CD/DVD burner software, enable the Joliet and/or UDF filesystem (UDF also supports long filenames, right?), put the AVI's into it and burn.
Beware, though, you will be able to play this DVD only on DivX-capable desktop DVD players (and, of course, personal computers, as well) but not the plain ones! (If you need a DivX-capable DVD player, see the Yamada DVX-6700; it's cheap, it's compatible, it rocks!)
