thanks for your info ,used all the settings on clonecd as you said use,but after it read the cd i clicked on write cd and this came up ,writing to cd failed,illegal request:invalid field in cdb(5:0*24.0*00) any clues m8 im lost now trying to back up ridge racer v purple back

Sorry to read your continuing problems. We'll have to go back to basics. It seems you have a common problem between all your burners.

1 What is your CD Reader? (If it's a bundled device, Device Manager will tell you)
2 What is your CD Burner?
3 Is USB involved? If so whatoperating system?

Your writer is NOT fully CloneCD compatible. The sub-channel data boxes should have been greyed out. Were they? In the long run, the 9100b is the WRONG burner to have for PS2 copying. I strongly recommend the Yamaha 2200 or one of the Plextor W2410A.

For Ridge Racer V with CloneCD, which isn't protected (PAL version), don't check the sub-channel data and choose SAO on burning.

If that doesn't work, remove CDRwin fully and re-download it (preferably buy a licensed version) to use the demo at 1x. Remove the old one first. Then copy via the BIN/Cuesheet method and burn back using default settings throughout.

I don't want this one to beat me, let alone yourself. When you've come through this, you'll know quite a lot!
