LotR: Battle for Middle-Earth 2 : Defeat Crash

Upon reviewing older posts concerning LOTR bfme I, it appears that the same techique is being used to crash the player after 5+/- minutes of play.

My simple question is if the same fix for the first game can be applied to BFME 2?

Also in BFME 1 it was stated that saving a game past a certain point also helped get past the crashing part.

Spitfire is loaded in the directory upon installation. You can go to the LotR, BfmE directory and find it.

As for the Maxi Image, you mentioned reinstalling the game. Do you mean after applying the patch to then mount the image?
