THIS IS MY TUTORIAL ON HOW TO PLAY BACKED-UP PSX GAMESON A PS2 WITHOUT A MOD-CHIP.

First of i found this out by luck.

Go to http://consolecopyworld.com and go to the psx section and downoad the boot disk, Get the region you are from, Makes sense doesnt it. lol

Now burn it to a CD-R through nero dont mess around with any settings just burn it as it is.

Now go to the shop and get yourself a mobile phone swipe card, there FREE.

Now try to create something similar to this.

Next Go to the Browser and then insert an original PSX game.

You will notice it never booted.

Now press eject and unclip the DVD draw cover and then press eject again to so the game goes back in and doesnt load.

Now you will see this white pin once closed

Now slide that pin with your Card you made the way the picture tells you to and the tray will pop open a bit now pull it open the rest of the way.

So now get out your Previously burnt Boot Disk,The one what people claimed never worked because they are all FAKE LMAO, and swap the disks over so you now have the boot disk in the draw.

Close the drawer until it wont go in any further and then get out you card you made again and slide the white pin the opposite direction until it wont go any further.

Now remover the card and boot the PSX logo from the browser and WHOOPEDY DODAY IT BOOTS ONTO A BLUE SCREEN AND SAYS START GAME .

Select what region then select start game and then it will ask you to insert the game so now you just slide the tray open and insert a psx backup then close the drawer and slide it back and press any button and it will boot.

Or you can just buy a damn modchip and not have to go through all this crap NTM patch some backups as well as trash the PS2 tray

OMFG are you kidding me? I don't own a PS2 but if I did there is no way I would go through all that each time I want to play a game.

Not to be supportive of the tutorial but it is interesting to know how its possible to play without modding. In the interest of preserving the life of the ps2 however, you are less likely to accidently damage your system by going with the mod chip route. For anyone considering to attept this tutorial, please keep in mind that this forum does not recommend anything that will knowingly damage your system. We are here to help but not to encourage any practice which might be harmful to your ps2.
