pleas take a look to the video file (use windows media player to play!).

unbelieveable... starforce 3.7 are not able to stop DT 4.03 :)

... no need to disconnect any IDE drive.

get the video file from here

NEW VIDEO with more content... shows EVERYTHING (especially for GLH ;) )

remember!

tarForce Technologies the official release of StarForce FrontLine version 3.07.013

The most significant change in this version is the improved protection against emulators.

There are several disc-emulation programs that allow qualified users to run copied applications protected by versions prior to FrontLine 3.07. The current release of FrontLine makes it impossible to run a protected product from a copy made by any known disc emulator including Daemon Tools 4.0.

The bugs discovered in previous versions have been fixed in FrontLine 3.07.013

System requirements for the protected product:

Windows 2000, Windows XP 32/64-bit, Windows Server 2003 32/64-bit

The video does not prove that you do not have the original CD/DVD in the drive.

I am with GLH here as it just shows that the game loads and that you can mount an image.

Just because it works for one person running just DT with no disconnected drives doesn't mean it works for another. It depends on IDE controllers, SATA drives (all, none or mixed) and more factors.

Long time since I tested with starforce now (never buy any games with that anymore) but back then I had to disconnect atleast.

well i just tested this out for myself and it refuses to work with my standard nf4 setup, so kosmiq is right, or XdaywalkerX is running it with the original cd in the drive, which doesent appear to be the case

Most probably, not only nForce 3/4 chipset-equipped motherboards are the ones that Starforce can't hack (re-enabling disabled CD-DVD drives). We've already seen hints to that in another threads...!

Yup, the ATI chipset mobos are out of SF's grasp as well :)

It could be that ULi chipset that XdaywalkerX has on his motherboard...?
Because it isn't that widespread and uses some own solutions SF might not be able to "get to" it.

DT 4.03 works with SF 3.7 with no problems.

For most systems configuration, it is needed to unplug devices, but with correct DVD drive/recorder configuration no need for disabling IDEs/drives.

A system just prepared to combat/emulate SF wont be stopped in a closer future. Emulation is the middle step to crack a disc based game.

Good luck!

Not only had StarForce already destroyed my HDD and made my writer incompatible to CloneCD (not that tragic) but also am i not able to run any SF protected game without unplugging drives. Not even Trackmania 1 (!), not Sunrise, intended to start when using DT 4.03...
It's a shame, all those people telling, "Its great", "It works ! Wohooo !", and I cant play without the original CD. The last few month made me come to a decision. Pretty hard for me (ToCA 3 ... ), but I'll definetaly not buy any game protected by SF3. None of them :(

About the same way I think. Starforce totally screwed my windows installation on my nForce2 based PC and since then I pretty much stay away from Starforce.

using nf4 here, tried many diff ide controller drivers, no help
used to be able to just disable cd drive in windows and trackmania sunrise/king kong, would run alright, but then i updated trackmania and now it doesent work, just like RD3, just luck i think, easiest thing to do is make your cd drive easily removeable, works for me :p

Hi
I used a simulation program in C++, I changed the IDE controller configuration (among with others like my SATA numbering and DMA id that have nothing to do (i think) with this). StarForce kept asking for a CD but RaceDriver 3 loaded at once. I think that StarForce logs up the initial configuration and it doesnt matter much about the chipset or disconnecting any drives, I would sugest to install StarForce after a hardware "Lifting" then re-enabling and normalizing your configuration.
It took 33 days for my simulator to load so you can understand that it is impractical to wait for a month to play a game.

again i am happy to own a notebook..... toca3 (and pop t2t before) works for me just by mounting into dt4.00 virtual drive, do not need to disable or change anything. fine.
